CMU slipped into MAC championship game thanks to Toledo and the Broncos debacle at DeKalb. So who shut down the CMU offense dead in it's tracks? Brady Hoke, SDSU defensive coordinator. SDSU also shocked CMU with the passing game. The Aztecs were run based all year. They killed the CMU secondary.
Well, I hope that the team is ready to play lights out. Wassink needs to be sharp (and don't pull a Glass impression).

Somebody in the MAC West has to win a game.......

GO BRONCOS! 04-rock
The MAC has a FAR improved performance to date from prior years. Two absolutely heartbreaking losses for both EMU and WMU could have dramatically improved those results as well, but it is what it is. CMU has been the only embarrassment this year.
Does anyone have any insight as to why vegas has Ohio as An 8 point favorite against Nevada? Ohio has a worse record and Nevada plays in a much better conference. Nevada is also playing in a stadium they are familiar with because Boise is a conference for. Makes no sense to me.
Nevada likes to run the ball on first down and we all know that's a recipe for disaster...

Dessert Bronco, looks like you are dribbling on your keypad again whilst provoking an unsolicited argument. Giving yourself away because you can't control your actions may result in another banning.
Dude, I sure hope you are charging that Dessert Bronco guy rent to live in your head like he does. Seriously, he was banned in part this last time because of a personal attack against me.
Yesterday, I was just too disturbed to update this thread. Just wanted to forget about our latest bowl failure and move on to maybe do something productive with the day.

This morning it feels like old news now so I've updated up above.

Vegas sets their lines these days in large part based on the most up-to-date analytics (fancy stats if you will). Generally those are formulas that take into account every single play minus garbage time, to oversimplify it. It is then adjusted based on injuries and a few other factors. Otherwise they would be taken to the cleaners by sophisticated professional bettors.

I actually have money on Nevade +7.5 in this one, but the line has moved slightly towards Ohio which means a little more money has gone towards OU. People a lot smarter than me are making these decisions. Who knows what happens, but Vegas is not in the business of making transparently poor lines.

FPI for what its worth has Ohio at just over 70% to win. There are better systems than FPI but it has actually done a pretty decent job vs. the spread historically.
Ohio thumping Nevada 30-9, end of 3Q. MAC East doing very well in bowls.

Too bad we gifted WKU our bowl (and CMU to Ford Field).
Ohio in choke mode now. Fumble, Nevada TD, fumble, Nevada TD...
Ohio wins 30-21. MAC now 3-3 in bowl season.
Go Redskins.

Last season we went 1-5. 1-4 in 2017. 0-6 in 2016. We had three wins in 2015, going 3-4. In terms of just wins, this is tied for the best bowl season in MAC history, and could be the best after Monday. It not like those past years featured a ton of bowl mismatches, either.

The MAC was not weak this year, it was just even with no dominate team.

"B" is a pretty generous grade. Even without the Wassink slip and the 12-men penalty debacle, WKU appeared to own us in the statistics. Ohio got a "B+" and dominated most of the game, but had a couple fumbles toward the end which helped make the final score look closer than it was.

WKU is a much better team than Nevada. From a purely football fan standpoint, our bowl was a very exciting game with some big twists.
