If he could put the ball in the basket, I would have been disappointed.
He was not playing well but hate to see it. Sorry to see him leave.
Wow. Seems like strange timing, figure you’d at least wait and see how the season played out.
Wow.
There has to be more to the story here. Dudes that have started all season just don't up and transfer mid season.

When players struggles, they look to change something. Wish him the best of luck and thanks for being a Monarch for 2-1/2 years.

True I am sure. Godwin certainly had the playing time and freedom to shoot. I noticed his dad was not at the game last night, at least he was not where he usually sits. Every game I have been to Mr. Godwin is always in the same place and I always enjoyed speaking to him. He is a good dude, but as you say, there has to be more to that story.
What the...?
Hampton seems like a likely destination. But what do I know. Oh well. Good luck to the young man. I’m sure the coaching staff will be blamed for this one as well. But the way I see it, he got to play a lot and threw up pretty much anything he wanted towards the basket. What more could u want? When he was set and balanced he had a nice looking stroke. Good luck to him.
Ahmad Caver just posted this on twitter. Wonder if he’s referring to this news.

“ You see what type of person somebody is when (poop emoji) not easy! Either you fight the challenge or you back down and try to find the easy route... I know which type of friends I want around me.”
I know he can shoot in HS when I use go watch a bunch of HS games, I saw him drop 35 against a pretty good defense. The guy is struggling lets not pile it on.
I love Godwin, but his play this year doesn’t merit many mins (especially with AJ competing for mins now). His defense is just okay, and he can’t consistently hit open shots as our “shooter.”

I don't blame Jeff, other than the fact that his offense is not a great fit for a guy like Godwin to excel in. I think you'll be surprised where he ends up. No inside info, but a dude with his size and a shot as pretty as his likely will have a chance to play somewhere better than Hampton.

I didn’t mean that to be a slight or shot at him. He definitely is a talented D1 ball player. I just know he played at Hampton High and thought it made sense.
I’m surprised anyone wants to play in an offense like Jeff Jones’s.

His offense makes Blaine Taylor’s look like Paul ball.
I don't blame the coaching staff or anyone. Just wasn't a good fit and this is a sign that AJ is on the ups.

Actually they do because if they transfer now, they can be eligible after the first semester next year so around the time Oliver became eligible.

He was a good mid major prospect. (richmond, us, etc). He will land somewhere decent. Wish him all the luck, he just didnt make shots and lost his spot to Oliver.
