It's the NIT of volleyball. Despite finishing 2nd in the ACC and not having lost in over a month and going on a ridiculous run of straight set wins they were left out of the NCAAT and three ACC teams that finished behind them got in. GT lost exactly one game since October 6th: 3-2 on the road at Pitt. It was an ugly look for the ACC teams that did get in.
Pitt got bounced from the NCAAT in the second round by Cincinnati despite being the clear #1 in the ACC and the only ranked ACC team.
Notre Dame got blanked 3-0 by UCLA in the first round.
Louisville lost 3-0 in the Elite Eight to Minnesota.
Florida State lost 3-2 in the first round to UCF.
