Daka on 2nd team is a crime

I agree, and I am absolutely sick of the buffalo love.

Absolutely, but more fuel for the fire. Anyone who doubts this should go look at twitter.

Percy is no third teamer either.
No Polk anywhere???
What makes Daka being on second team even better is the fact that a Weber St player beat him out for first team. He's bringing the heat on saturday for sure.

I noticed Daka is tweeting/tweeting about being 1st team AA (WHICH HE DEFINITELY DOES) but also retweeted a quote yesterday that said "Real Gs move in silence" which was about how Nick Chubb never talks about the rushing title he is certainly going to win.

Remember regular season he was 7th in the CAA receiving yards. After the 2 playoff games he’s up to 13th nationally. Before the playoffs was probably outside the top 30 (Receiving yards per game is 37th).
Receiving TDs he’s tied for 16th. He’s not likely to make any AA lists with those stats. It is what it is.

Yep. Any AA list that doesn’t have a guy (edit on 1st team) who is #1 in the nation in TFL, AND #1 in the nation in sacks, from a team in one of the top conferences to boot, is worthless as tits on a bull.

Daka: 58, 26.5 TFL, 16.5 sacks.
Carter: 57, 25 TFL, 11.5 sacks.
Daka didn’t exactly hold back on twitter about the first team snub from hero sports. I hope he uses it constructively to absolutely dominate the next two games.

I love hero sports but this list reeks of participation trophy. They don’t want the flack from not “spreading it evenly” nationwide.

No objective observer can leave either Daka or Carter off of an all-American first team. There’s no argument.

Don' get that, and to be honest a bit surprised Amos #2. His year is nothing like last year.

Devil's advocate: You have an AA quality DE on a team of scrubs he draws a double team or offense runs to opposite side and his stats are worse than Daka and Carter, who are both AA quality and as such get less double teams and more runs towards them.

I don't see how that's their fault. They play on a team with multiple defensive threats. As an opposing team you could pick your poison, but it'll be your demise. Daka and Carter's productivity is what it is and if it came in part because of other threats on the defense, then so be it. They shouldn't be penalized for having great teammates--this is a team sport. As a matter of fact, both guys constantly attribute their success to their teammates. That's what winners do!

Counterpoint, they both put up those numbers in spite of having someone else who can steal those numbers from the other person by dominating the stat sheet.

While I think both should be 1st team AA, there wouldn’t be as much of an argument if you had Daka 1st team, and Carter 2nd team. Daka has a couple more TFL and 5 more sacks.

What do you not get about:
-13th nationally receiving yds (outside top 30 regular season).
-16th nationally in receiving TDs with 11 (tied outside top 30th with 9 regular season).
-37th national receiving yards per game.

Yeah he plays on a run heavy team with lots of weapons that may be the best team in the country, but those stats aren’t going to get you AA. Way too many other WR with way bigger, gaudy stats. Doesn’t make it right, but its easy to get.
