First Consensus All American in Arkansas State football history (In other words, voted All American by the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association, and Walter Camp/Sporting News.

But don't worry, he's been publicly declared by the Senior Bowl to be "not good enough" to grace their game...
life of mid majors, especially one with incompetent staff and personnel that are in place
Um no. Only Walter Camp has been released so far.
I got sucked in on the mid-year report. No evidence that I see at this point. But he should be. Dude is the best I've seen in my 60 years.
If one were picking based on freshman, sophomore, and junior film, he's nothing special. He really stepped up big this year. I suspect his laser timed 40 isn't going to knock people out. Figure scouts are also leery because he has had so many people around him involved in gun violence (back home people while he was in Jonesboro). NFL terrified of that unless your numbers are too awesome to ignore.
What a loss for all of them. I've been watching this game up close for 40 years. He's one of the best I've ever seen. They're rare.

Not going Senior Bowl likely costs him some money and I hate that, but just get him out of the bowl game healthy (we've had some bad luck with bowl injuries) and get him into an NFL camp to show his stuff.
Now it's official. Third team AP All American.
I see a lot of Zay Jones in him at the next level.
Didnt make the SI All-American Team...
Third team AP All-American team

Nope ... Sporting News (12/17), AFCA (12/18), FWAA (12/19)
A lot of misinformation about there about what a Consensus All-American is ...

As of 2009, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recognizes the All-America teams selected by the AP, AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News, and the WCFF to determine consensus All-Americans. If more than half of the organizations select a player to their first team, he automatically receives the "consensus" honor. In no player qualifies under that criteria, a player named to two first teams can be chosen. Second- and third-team selections can be used as tie-breakers. If still tied, each player is listed.[2] If a player is named an All-American by all five organizations, he receives "unanimous All-America" recognition.[3] Depending upon the distribution of first team honors at any given position, it is possible to be consensus with fewer than three first-team selections.
Sporting News second team.
Now consensus All American.

See above.
Bayless was named honored by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and has been named to three of the five prestigious teams used to determine consensus All-America status.

To be considered a consensus All-American, one must be honored by at least three of the five recognized All-America teams put out by these publications – the American Football Coaches Association, the Associated Press, the Football Writers Association of American, The Sporting News and the Walter Camp Football Foundation
