A very tough grind out road win for UT!!!

Team hung tough and got it done. Never easy to win any road game.

I’m happy with start to season. Only 4 points and some troubling inbounding ball problems has kept us from being 10-0. Records are nice but this team does play hard and together and that means I’m getting my desired Toledo W satisfaction.

Go Rockets!
If that ball doesn't pin to the hoop a 1 in a 10000 happening, we have a victory at ND.

Agree. That was nuts.
Marreon sat out 10 minutes due to personal fouls and the offense really struggled without him on the floor. This teams achilles heel is lack of a dependable backup point guard.

I agree. Saunders is not useful for more than giving Marreon a two minute breather. If MJ fouls out or is injured UT has a problem.
Ugly game offensively for the most part. Shooting in the low 30%s was almost costly. A flurry of treys turned the tide along with key free throws down the stretch. I doubt TK was overjoyed with the Rockets’ performance.
I wonder if losses will be looked over of the point margin is pointed out. A solid 26-6 record with a bunch of close losses should look decent. But we also can't lose to every team with a pulse.
didn't play well for 32 minutes and then mostly dominated down the stretch. i'll take that on the road. yes, marreon must play most of every game for us to succeen. yes, luke must stay healthy and nail jump shots to be an elite big. yes, saunders is our best guard off the bench but he doesn't really run pg. he's great when his jumper is on and he at least plays pretty good d when it's not. on the surface it's not a team of explosive talent, but it's a tight unit that generally plays with confidence and toughness. we usually run good offensive sets, but are sloppy too often in the 1st half. we have the ability to play with offensive rhythm and make shots. if that peaks at the right time we'll be tough to beat. the defense is good, not great-we miss AJ, but pretty good most of the time.
