ASU has virtually zero chance at the NY6, a win by ULL might get them 2 ranked teams and establish a third national brand. The Sun Belt is pretty much even with if not passed C-USA in many respects and this helps.

I'd go so far as placing the Sun Belt ahead of the CUSA and MAC. I would not be surprised if a couple CUSA schools would look to move to the Sun Belt if the Sun Belt is even interested.
Why would they? No guarantee that a ULL win would leave ANY ranked Sun Belt teams.
The Sun Belt is rooting for Cincy, Hawaii, App State, and a bone from the committee.

The perception change from getting a Cotton Bowl bid > The perception change from having 2 ranked teams.

Plus, if we lose to Louisiana, we'll be out of the top 25, and there's no guarantee they'd jump in.

Sun Belt schools are very happy splitting the pie only 10 ways. Any school interested in joining would have to add enough value to the conference to outweigh the money the schools would lose. On the flip side, CUSA schools would have to determine that the Sun Belt would be a more lucrative conference to play in in order to justify the couple million the school would have to shell out in entrance/exit fees to make the switch. Neither scenario is likely right now.
I think the Sun Belt is neutral about who wins the CCG.

If Cincy is ahead of App St tomorrow- I think the odds of App St passing Cincy are about 0.0001%. Cincy would have a much better win this upcoming weekend.
Go Mountaineers !

Sure, IF they are ahead. They are behind in the AP, Coaches, and most computers though.

We're hoping to be ahead of them by more than 1 for just the reason you stated: A win over Memphis will gain more clout than Louisiana, but Louisiana is a really good team too.
I don't think App stays Top 25 with a loss and no guarantee Cajuns break in.

The committee has been no where close to as bullish on App St than the polls have.
My opinion (because AState's AD doesn't leak nothing about the committee) is App's chance ended when Memphis beat Cincinnati. I think the only path they had was Navy taking AAC West then winning AAC title game coupled with Boise losing a game.

I agree. There just is no scenario that gets App State past Memphis, Boise, and Cincy. No matter how it sorts out, one of them will end up ahead of App State.
If Boise and Memphis both lose this week (not likely) App should get the Access Bowl with a win. The AAC just doesn't have the one team that can thump lower-tier P5s and compete with top 10s.

Sun Belt is better in football this year, but no CUSA school would consider moving to the Sun Belt.

App St doesn't have anywhere near as good of a win as Cincy would have vs Memphis. Sorry, but that's reality.

Do hope they set up App St vs an AAC team in a bowl... App St vs Cincy or Memphis.

I mean, USC and UNC are for sure not good Power 5 teams, but you can't tell me Memphis is better than those teams. Memphis squeaked by a an awful Ole Miss team whose only wins were Arkansas, SELA, Vanderbilt, and NMSU.

Consider the league had 4 head coaching changes and a 5th school with a major coaching shake-up, and the league is consensus better than CUSA and will almost surely finish ahead of CUSA in the CFP conference standings and make it 3 of the last 4 seasons.
If App hadn't blown it against GASO then this weekend would have been hella fun for non P5 fans.

CFP has revenue distribution per conference based on performance.
