Who will be our new leader?

Beamer is the one they really want. Huff might be the one we can better afford.
I'm hoping for Graham Harrell
Banner Society did a podcast that mentioned the impending ODU opening a month or so ago. The hosts landed that the program is situated perfectly but money will need to be spent. They pegged it at $900,000-$1 million to get serious hype and a top-candidate for this conference. Personally I want Huff but Beamer or any Power 5 top assistant would be a dream.

Miller floated Graham Harrell which would be awesome but he'd be out of here in a few years one way or another I think.

They'll probably pay a search committee $1M to tell us we can't afford Beamer. Lil' Woody loves consultants. Never in my life have I seen anyone as crafty at passing the buck.
Graham Harrell (Mike Leech ball) could actually be a good fit to energize some excitement. Not sure about winning championships or if he can coach at all, but at least we coulf have 45 points and 500 yards passing in our losses.

Some good names. Bummed not to see McNeil on the list, but these guys all make some sense.

What am I missing? The only name I read in that article was Beamer’s. Maybe my mobile didn’t show the full article.

Mod Edit; Posting a full article goes against the AUP.

Thank you both
Per the odu release, Selig plans to have someone hired in a few weeks:

"The first of two national signing periods is Dec. 18-20. Selig says he expects to have a new coach hired by then. "
In the aspect of adhering to the AUP can you both strip down the copy and paste of the article to just the names mentioned please? Don't want to abuse the AUP and go around paywalls.

thanks!

ESPN is probably one of the last places I'd lean on during this process. Apart from Jay Harris, they couldn't care less about us.
yeah, this will be quick. Expect something well before 2 weeks is up.

Harrell seems like a longshot. On the fence about Beatty with what he did at Landstowne, but the dude can recruit.

I think they go hard after Beamer
Good luck. I want ODU strong in football to pressure the JMU admin to seriouslt consider leaving their comfort zones the next opportunity.
Taggart could be VERY interesting. He is getting paid by three schools currently and has tens of millions of buyouts coming his way. While he wouldn't work for free he could be a little more flexible if Wood gives him something on the back-end (multi-year deals for assistants, longer contract terms, etc.)

I think he ends up back at USF personally. Seems like a perfect fit
