The original thread has disappeared

Michigan St wins to become 77
Boston College wins to become 78

Still to play or in action

Oregon St at Oregon
UL Monroe vs UL Lafayette
NC State vs UNC
Colorado vs Utah
Army vs Hawaii
Original thread moved to smack but not sure why as there was NO smack involved

New Mexico State at Liberty, 1:00 PM CT, ESPN+
Maryland at Michigan State, 2:30 PM CT, FS1
Boston College at Pittsburgh, 2:30 PM CT, ACCN
Oregon State at Oregon, 3:00 PM CT, Pac 12
North Carolina at North Carolina State, 6:00 PM CT, ACCN
ULM at ULL, 6:30 PM CT, ESPNU
Colorado at Utah, 6:30 PM CT, ABC
Army at Hawai'i, 11:00 PM CT, CBSSN

First 4 games are complete and tally up to 78 teams eligible. Only guarantee for CUSA to get all 8 eligible teams in is for UNC, UL Monroe, Colorado and Army to all lose tonight.

I would give the odds 100-1 that the MAC team that won on Friday with 6 wins will be 1st team out. If ULM , UNC, Colorado and Army all win. My bet ULM still stays home. So you are left with 80 teams filling 78 spots.

Colorado winning is a major long shot. Does Liberty have a tie in that guarantees them a bowl game? I think odds are CUSA gets all 8 but at least 7. If it's 7 FIU stays home

Pretty much how I was seeing things as well.. I hope all CUSA teams get a bowl but I think FIU will be on the out looking in if it comes to that

Liberty has a secondary agreement with the Cure bowl if the AAC or Sun Belt are short on teams

Considering ESPN has the MAC on mid week as well as most bowls we are eligible for are controlled by ESPN it wouldn’t surprise me if the MAC got an extra team in “if necessary” over CUSA as we aren’t part of the ESPN tv package. Hope I’m wrong though
UNC just went up 27-10 with 2 minutes left in 3rd. Unless NC St can rally UNC will make 79 which means one G5 team will be left out.

Lafayette and Utah both leading by at least a TD so that’s still in our favor

EDiT
As soon as I posted UNC got a pick and then 2 plays later scored to go up 34-10 so that’s a wrap on them getting a bowl
