I think Cincy is in a weird spot where they will ultimately rake in more money with a loss to us. If they win, they very well might not go to cotton bowl. How much more does league get to share if we go to cotton bowl?
They’ll play to win

Two years ago both UCF and Memphis would play in the Peach Bowl with a win, least year only them but we played to win

At least until midway through the third quarter when if I remember correctly something like the third penalty flag against UCF was picked up

2 years ago was brutal but last year was almost criminal...so blatant that I was calling all penalties even when they picked the ones up...comical!
If this is true, we'll get the calls Saturday.

Yeah. The players/coaches have little to no reason to be concerned about the differences in bowl payout if neither team made the Cotton Bowl. Only thing Cincinnati players/coaches are going to be focused on is winning the conference title.
All bowl money is evenly split with all conference teams...
It’s about time things turn in our favor. I’ll make no excuses if it plays out as such.
Haven't u Dudes learned , we never get any breaks
I don’t know. I would say we got a few calls, yesterday. The aac head shed knows what’s at stake.

"All bowl money" adds up to more if one of those bowls is the Cotton. If we don't win the game, and Because of that, Boise goes to the Cotton, the AAC loses about $4MM dollars in bowl revenue.

$300k/school is a good chunk of change for G5 programs struggling to compete budgetwise. And that's just for one bowl. Adding the other bowls folks are projected to get, and what are the per school splits?
I know a guy in the army who caught the Cincy weird spot once.

Bad news.

you're mistaking getting a few calls and not having any egregiously bad ones go against us

The only really beneficial call was the 15 yarder that gave us a first down But the guy took a swing and connected with our players helmet 5 feet in front of the ref. Is he not going to call it?

Finally, someone knew what I was asking about!
