Good game guys!
Game was much closer than the score. It could have gone either way if couple of plays or call gone in your favor.
I think both teams played their hearts out. I think we both will represent American Conference well in the Championship.

Good Luck!

So from a Memphis perspective what are your thoughts on the refs giving you guys that penalty to keep the ball from us for a possible game winning drive?
I figured it would be a dog fight. Really good game, Bearcats - we were fortunate to pull it out.

I was at the game, but was not able to see that foul. Just heard the call that it was an "un-sportsmanship foul". Officiating was slightly below par; missed holding calls on both ends. But, when it matter the most for Cincy, they made the right call as one of the Tigers touched the ball while being out of bounds-that was the correct call. overall FAIR on refs. calling the game.
If the winning team says the officiating was fair, it was rigged beyond belief.
Good game Memphis. Actually closer than I expected (I figured 31-17). Bryant did pretty well for the first time, but made a couple rookie mistakes. Would have helped if he had been given some series during the past 2-3 weeks, while Ridder's shoulder was obviously hampered.

Thanks for stopping by.

My perspective is that one call does not negate the fact that you guys turned the ball over multiple times. We learned that in our Temple loss. It's easy to blame it on the refs while ignoring reality.

Oh, she must be talking about the punch number 21 threw after being man-handled. It was the correct call.
Irredamngardless you guys were our toughest opponent of the season and any Tiger fan with an ounce of objectivity will give you guys the props you deserve. You had to know it was going to be a tough game on the road against a ranked opponent, especially w/o your starting QB. IOW, it would have been one hell of a win but it damn sure wasn't a huge loss you should be dinged for.

Thanks for the kind words, overall I was happy with our performance. We had every chance to win the game, and I honestly didn't think that would be the case. The bad breaks were self inflicted, even the questionable penalty.
Regardless of whether you think it was a good call, if he had just turned and walked away there would be no flag..
Unfortunately think we will get penalized heavily in the rankings for the loss because, well, we are the AAC. We get penalized for everything.
Based on the Memphis fans comments above, they have all admitted with their justification and equivocating that the questionable call against UC that sealed the game for Memphis was wrong.
Our turnovers sealed the game. We can overcome bad calls if we hang onto the ball.

For sure. I'm not saying thecall lost the game. It's not like we were scoring at will all game, it still would have been a feat to drive down to score. Was just curious what you guys saw from a non bearcat lens on why that would have been called on UC.
To the Memphis fans, thanks for stopping by and the props

. I am not an expert re: football rules, but had I been a ref yesterday, I would have made the same call re: unsportsmanlike conduct. I realize that the call could have been a mistake, but the Bearcats made more mistakes than the refs did.

Overall, Memphis played better and deserved the win. Hopefully, we will pay you back next week.
Good Luck! next week.

Hopefully, we get to watch another spectacular game and I hope and pray that our players stay healthy and be ready for the bowl game.
