I thought I would try to divert everyone's attention from the football fiasco by focusing on tonight's Notre Dame MBB game instead. Coach K has never really had a signature win during his tenure, but for some reason, I think tonight is the night. The team is shooting lights out, has turnovers under control, and can rebound with anybody. ND is good but not great. UT wins by 6.
If we are at least competitive for most of the game, I'll be a pretty happy Rocket fan. A win at Notre Dame would mean they are further ahead than I thought they would be this early in the season.
Good news: Mattia Acunzo practiced for the first time on Tuesday and TK is hopeful he will be able to play tonight against ND.

WOW! I didn't expect to hear that! I was just hoping he could be on the floor by the time MAC play started. Sounds like even if he can't go tonight, he may not be too far behind. Will certainly take him some time, and I'm not expecting him to be Freshman of the Year or even a significant scorer, but with the loss of Edu he can at least provide more depth.
Rey good news on Acunzo
I have a good feeling about this one
That’s great! He was limping when we played Howard.
Foolish to push someone. A kid will do what they're given leeway to do. The adults should know better. THere's no emergency in his development. Reward the kid with a few minutes against a big-time program, then sit him.
Their great player Mooney will be the difference in tonights game. I don't Knapke and others will be able to hang with him. I just hope UT can make it interesting. I would have felt differently if UT had Edu for this one
I think the coaches and trainers know his limits better than we Rocket fans know.

We should bring up this quote all the frequent times you criticize a coach. 03-wink

Toledo 27 - ND 24 at the half
Rockets 27 ND 24 at half
Sounds like some home cooking on some of the calls.
The former UT coach who shall not be named is courtside here in South Bend.

That great player Mooney did not make a difference tonight... Luke K hung with him just fine...
Toledo notches an Irish scalp if they did not get sloppy/complacent at the end...03-banghead

You have to be really exceptional to milk the clock Rockets aren't quite there yet. Slowing the game down took them out of their rhythm
how many times have you criticize UT coaches, Eastisbest?
