The Courant is unreadable, IMO. Too many pop up ads. But this is pretty much a slap in the face to UConn football fan.

A good story, what we all know. A good conference that doesn't make the money or get the respect the other schools do.

I do like that the media and Aresco keep pushing this narrative. They way the teams in this league keep improving, I think they will back up those words for years to come.

First of all the article came from the Washington Post. Second, the truth hurts doesn't it?

Here is the link to the direct article on Washington Post page:

AAC football is every bit as good as ACC, though it can’t get in the same club

I guess, but I'm not a UConn fan. You tell me.

The American has 12 teams, and its weakest link, Connecticut, will be gone next season ... (It took Aresco and the league presidents about five minutes to kick Connecticut to the door)

You missed the bigger bomb...

LOL. I'm fine with UCONN Football being like Notre Dame Basketball. Notre Dame Basketball/Olympic sports (without football) are good enough for the ACC, not to mention that the Notre Dame hoops program is more accomplished than the vast majority of AAC members.

To be honest, I considered it a bomb levied at Notre Dame, not at UConn.

Stating two obvious points. 1. (UConn) We suck. Tell me something I don't know. 2. The AAC will never get a shot at the title because it's not one of the chosen 5.

Kudos to UConn for having the insight/foresight to leave a conference that will never be successful ... We can't wait for your prophesy to show the world just how brilliant UConn leadership was.

I applaud XConn's honest evaluation of themselves in that they never should have been in a elevated in the first place. 04-cheers
