I think he should be done after this year. It's time for some new blood.

This year was very much like Cubit's last at WMU. Big expectations with a very good senior QB, but no MACC and likely a losing season.

I wouldn't mind seeing Frank keep going as Head Coach for the time being. Hard to complain about the success Ohio football has had in his tenure compared to the decades of mediocrity that was Ohio football from the 70's up until Frank's hiring. Under his tenure, we've been bowl eligible for 10 straight seasons, and taken home 4 bowl victories.

That said... It is a little frustrating seeing very talented Ohio teams under his leadership fall apart at the end of each season. This season in particular has been difficult to watch. If he had won a single MAC title, I'd be much more comfortable letting Solich coach well into 80's.

This attitude is pretty prevalent among Ohio fans. A lot of us have seen decades of football so horrible that this year's pathetic underperformance looks decent. I think the good fortune (and good will) associated with sucking forever before Solich arrived ran out this year for most of us. Put another way, if Solich were the Ohio basketball coach, his tenure would have ended at least eight years ago.

I don't see how it helps the school to have the oldest coach in FBS who's trending downward. What recruit wants to jump on that train?

In my opinion, Frank has earned the right to leave on his terms when he is ready. i hope that's how it plays out.
