So according to Tony Pike we’ve clinched a share of the East division title. It’s still quite possible it ends in a 3 way tie between UC, UCF and Temple. I’d imagine we want to pull for the Knights the rest of the way. They play Tulane and @USF. Temple has us and then a bye...I mean UGone
Aren't you the one who wrote off the rest of the season at halftime?

Yes. We have zero conference losses so the most we can finish with is two if we lose to Temple and Memphis. Meanwhile, Temple and UCF both already have 2 losses. So if we win one more, we clinch it with sole possession. If there were to be a 2 team tie with us and UCF, we'd win having beaten them head-to-head. But if there were a 2-way tie with us and Temple, they'd win since they'd have to have beaten us next week to get there. If there is a 3-way tie, things get complicated with each team 1-1 against each other and it might come down to who ranks highest of the 3 teams in the CF Playoff rankings.
That's why we need to just put this to bed and win Saturday at the Nip. Put a fuggin' exclamation mark on it! It will also be Senior day or night whenver the game time is announced.

That's just Billy's in-game coping skills at work.
UC 6-0 TEMPLE @MEMPHIS
UCF 4-2 @TULANE USF
TEM 4-2 @UC UCONN

Beat Temple!

MEM 5-1 @USF UC
SMU 5-1 @NAVY TULANE
NAVY 5-1 SMU @UH

Best scenario, UC wins out. Navy wins out.

Navy at NIP. We defense the run better than the pass.

I’d rather smu win the west. Still at nippert, but less chance of injuries for the cotton bowl.

Anyone but Navy in the CCG, IMO. Don't want any Perry Young results repeated.
SMU & Memphis would/will smoke our secondary. Navy is the best choice here.
I would like our chances against SMU. Their defense blows.
I'll post this again.

1. Head-to-head (best record in games among the tied teams).
2. Record in games played within the division.
3. Record against the next highest placed team in the division (based on record in
all Conference games, both divisional and non-divisional).
Record against the next highest placed team in the division (based on record in
divisional games).
4. Record against common non-divisional opponents.
5. Best overall winning percentage in all games.
Highest CFP ranking following the last weekend of regular-season games.
Coin toss.

I think someone earlier had it right, saying that it would come down to the CFP ranking.

Well, it wouldn't, because none of us would be ranked with a 9-3 record...so it would come down to a three way coin toss.

I've never been apart of something like that. How does that work?
Beat Temple outright=East Division Champs, regardless. Then focus on the next game. Most important game of the season Saturday, Temple. Forty degrees, wet, possibly rain, must run well and cut out the drive killing penalties. Home crowd, blackout, students should be off the chain. Go Bearcats! 02-13-banana

My brother in law has the same strategy for gambling. Just don't lose and you never have to think about the consequences.
