So we need the following things to happen to go to the championship: win out, Southern Miss lose twice (at UTSA, WKU, at FAU) and La Tech lose to either Marshall or UTSA. Long shot but still possible.
So you're saying there's a chance...

Not going to be our year. I don't see anyone beating So Miss from here on.

Not with the way our offense is playing haha but southern miss might lose at FAU for sure and maybe WKU?
What would happen if La Tech lost to us and Marshall, we won out, and Southern Miss lost to an Eastern Division opponent? That would make all 3 teams tied with a 6-2 CUSA record and 1-1 record against each other. #CircleOfDeath
Doubt if USM can beat FAU down there. LaTech is only favored by 3 points over Marshall.
Hilarious!

Got to get an immediate change in offensive philosophy and play calling to get things turned around. The other team can see what play UAB will run based on offensive set and personnel in game before play starts. UAB won't win another game with current offense. Maybe 6-3 or 3-2 even against UTEP.

I’m glad you asked. In this scenario, the nod would go to the team with the “best” East division win. Since our only East win is ODU, this would knock us out of the running.
You forgot ONE very important thing that needs to occur for us to have a shot........The Blazers need to actually show up and win the rest of our games. I don't see that happening. Please don't tell me I'm not a true Blazer, that I'm negative, that I should support our players and all that crap. This team needs to man up. They don't need a pat on the back and be told everything is gonna be ok. The last two games have been some of the worst performances by a coaching staff and team that Ive ever witnessed. And I've seen a TON of UAB football.........67-9 in last 2 games......let that sink in.........so don't talk championship. Go Blazers
True, and leaving Tyler in the game against Tennessee, down 30-0 in the 4th quarter, was one of the dumbest coaching decisions in the history of the program. The only one that was dumber was McGee leaving Austin in against Memphis.
We should probably now just focus on winning as many games as we can.

Yes, Clark should be asked why Tyler was in the game in the 4th quarter against Tennessee.

He should also be asked why our offense seemed unprepared for Southern Miss.
Our issues are an online that is struggling and has not developed as well as I thought they would and inexperience at qb. Looks pretty obvious. We can’t run block period.

I would not be surprised to see some JUCO O lineman be brought in and a real a real 3 way qb battle next season. If TJIII can go through his progressions and stop keying on his main target he will be tough to beat out.
That makes sense as most of the good ones last year were JUCO transfers. All 3 QB's are fine. Talent is not the issue.

Think Marshall can give em a game.

I would rather go the High School route for the future to build Continuity. Leave the grads alone for the next 3 years, See the Blazers had to do that with the restart don't get use to it, You have to have true players out of High School to rebuild the program for the next 10 otherwise you are one and done. Let them jucos go to Colorado St or Troy, I would rather sit back and wait for the progression should be in the right spot to do it.

I would be looking for the next Spence and Junior (Per say at every position - the Diamond in the ruff ).

And Build them up.
It is probably about time that the local high school connections give us the majority of our signees as long as they are quality signees.
Bringing in a couple of juco players on either side of the ball is something UAB should be doing every year. Especially on the line. It's going to be several years if ever that we can field a quality team with just high school recruits. Two and three star hs lineman usually dont contribute until their junior year anyway.
Please bring in as many jucos and ready-to-play players as are needed in our areas of weakness
