did their QB die?

I know it's a home game, but that just doesn't look right.

in edit: I always love LOVE LOVE the UAB game.
No but they do have the softest schedule in FBS. 6 wins vs the worst G5 teams and a close game against Alabama State. OOC wins against South Alabama and Akron, wins vs the worst of CUSA west, and ODU cross conference.
weird. I edited my post, and that duplicated it.

That's superior software management, right there.

ah. I see. I had not checked their schedule. nonetheless, I didn't think we would be favored at all, much less by a touchdown.

Do you work for the MSM and therefore have to qualify your honest questions from your regular questions? Just asking??

Didn’t they lose 30-7 to a team that got beat by Georgia State? I’m not bashing UAB but I don’t know if you can put that down as a quality loss.

I was about to say it was 30-0 and the 4th quarter before they scored. And had to play a backup QB because of injury.

I think those + home game factor into USM being favored.

I mean, by that same logic this Tennessee team beat Mississippi State who blew Southern Miss out.

We gave up 20 points off turnovers. Our QB turned it over 4 times. Basically the offense played terrible. Our QBs QBR was something like "3".

Our defense however is quite good. Limited TN to 280 yards even though we kept turning the ball over repeatedly inside our own 30 yard line.

Though we did have one incredibly dumb roughing the passer penalty that extended a TN drive that resulted in a TD

When drives go from 75yds to 30yds, of course you're going to limit your opponents to few yards. I would look more at yds/play in that scenario...

It will come down to turnovers and how many up the middle, untouched, td’s we give up today.

because asking a team that's owned you lately why they're underdogs could be provocative, or even misinterpreted as being a *ahem* colossal dick.

. . . sort of like questioning someone's honesty when you probably should have just politely asked for an explanation.
