Gotta take care of business against Houston and USF. But man if Cincy and our Tigers win out. What a matchup again in the liberty bowl. I expect it will be a sell out again in a prime time slot.

The visual of 60,000 bright royal blue pompoms would look amazing. And it’s proven that pompoms or towels get and keep a crowd more engaged. Auburn comes to mind. They are great with this.

I’ll be in town for TG and plan on attending myself and am going to treat about 6 other family members to the game as well.
SEC programs sure do love them some shakees.

Tacky and stupid IMO.

Towels or GTFO.

As long as it is not the awful noise of cowbells...
The Pom-Pom crab has the habit of carrying a sea anemone around in each of its claws, resembling pom-poms. In ancient times, this animal was used by men claiming to be sorcerers.

Nobody give a **** about your opinion. And towels are for crybabies.

pom poms and beer...

I'd love to watch y'all do both.
Would love to see another SMU crowd for this game. Regardless of weather or any other factors. Folks around the nation are gonna be on turkey hangovers and will tune into whatever football game is on. Would look great to have another sellout.
great stirrers for bourbon and coke as well
And they will look awesome when we throw them down on the field.

How far will they fly? We might have to weight them.

I hate pre-canned fandom. Act like Bears fans. Raise your beer in one hand and your middle finger in the other.
They gave out pom poms at gate 6 for the SMU game
Anything but thundersticks 01-lauramac2

The blow up thundersticks look cheap, you only see them at Sun Belt and MAC Tuesday night games and when RC was athletic director at Memphis.

Can you provide a link to the study that says that Pom Poms keep the crowd more engaged?

Rah rah!

Sis boom bah!
I'll agree to be the grammar-nazi in this case!(Google is your friend):

Why is it called pom pon?
Pom-pom is clearly an anglicized, misheard version of the correct word for what is properly called the pompon. ... Pompon is of French origin, meaning “ornamental tuft.”*** We, as we are wont to do as English speakers, added the word to our vocabulary because we have a long history of picking up words from other languages.

Anyway, they sell them at Tiger Bookstore.

I have seen the Pompons put out at Tiger basketball games. At most, they cover the seats in the lower bowl. I don't see anybody agreeing to buy 50-odd thousand for a Tiger football game. My guess is that this game will be strictly BYOP.
