Wondering if anyone on the national media (espn, cbs, Usa today, etc) said anything about his outing last night and meeting up the hype?

I was't able to catch the sportscenter last night.
There has been a lot of buzz during last night and tonight's games.

James is going to get a lot of media attention this season which is a huge plus for Penny and our program.

He has a chance of becoming this seasons "Zion"
UNC Freshman Cole Anthony just had 34pts 11rbs and 5 assists in his debut. The race is on!!

I know but espn and the social media wonks don’t care about that even though Wisemans efficiency is better in 22 minutes. James could had went for close to 50 if Penny had kept him in but there was no need for that in a blowout

This. In the end, Wiseman is a far greater player and that will be seen.

Yep, he's a freakishly-amazing 7-footer who runs the floor better than Kenon, Lee and Bedford ever did...too bad we'll only see him for one season in a Tiger uniform.
I'm now convinced we have a real shot at winning a national championship.

A lot of things still have to come together, but it is more than a realistic possibility.

Wiseman is that good.
He's going to see a lot of double teams in that one year. Really hard to guard someone with that kind of height/vertical. And that's just the threat he is in the paint. He can also shoot.

Gotta shoot 100x better...

It is easy to stop a big when the smalls cant shoot...

And Wiseman is going to have to show he can score 1-on-1 against good competition

With his length, quickness and footwork he will be able to score one on one consistently. I also expect our three point shooting to improve as the season goes on. We have a couple of players that should be high percentage three point shooters on open attempts and a few that can be scary good when they get hot. The wild cards will be guys like Baugh and DJ and how well they shoot from 3.

37 minutes 34 pts, 12/24 37%, 6/11 3 pt att 55%, 4/5 ft 80%, 0 or, 11 dr, 11 ttl rebs, 5 a, 1 stl, 0 blk, 4 turns

We've heard that before. Multiple times.

Anthony didn't play but 37 minutes

Also didn't play against South Carolina State. Played against a legit opponent.

SMH! Where is it written that a basketball team supposed to be at optimum peak and running in all cylinders after the very first game?
Wiseman 11/14 28/11/3 22 minutes. C
Precious 5/8 14/8 17 minutes. PF
Anthony 12/24 34/11/5 37 minutes. PG

You can't really compare their games and no one who understands basketball will. The media wants $. They want viewership. They will skew anything in whatever direction they want.

Anthony will have the ball in his hands 75% more than Wiseman will. Anthony will avg more minutes. Anthony will probably continue to take 50% of UNCs shots.

If Anthony is going to take 24-30 shots a game, no one in college will stand much of a chance stats wise without being unreasonably efficient.

UNC will lose 5-6 games they shouldn't if he has to do what he did tonight every game.
Cole Anthony is a great player though. It looks like Wiseman, Edwards, Maxey and Anthony are all going to have really good years and long NBA careers.

I haven’t been keeping up with UNC basketball but apparently I’ve read Cole is all they really have as far as point production. Expect double teams on him and opposing teams daring his fellow teammates to beat them. Here with Wiseman if they did that to him then you have Precious and Baugh and eventually Lester...etc wide open and ready to feast

Yes, only one other player scored in double figures and just barely at 10. Anthony had almost half of their points.
