I think he stays.
Money has gotta be right
If Arizona or Arizona state offers we may have a problem and Brady White and Patrick Taylor could follow
We want big we gotta pay BIG

And drop the CUPCAKES. tRuEtH
Ole miss and moo state may come a-calling.
Today showed everyone we play big time football in Memphis. I think the school is committed to keep this up.
Norvell is paid well.

Hopefully he realizes he has a good thing going here.

Not a chance he goes to either

I agree.
But that TV money has a voice of its own.
He needs to stop calling those damn on side kicks!

not sure that was the actual call. he said on the radio show that the kicker messed up on.
He is obviously a fantastic recruiter and evaluater of talent.

Some of his play calls are questionable.

I don't think we have ever had so many different weapons as we have had the last few years.
I think he stays. Unless he doesn't want to play second fiddle to Penny. We may have to bump him a mil.

Isnt that the truth
It seems like he genuinely enjoys living in Memphis. Will that keep him here for 15 years like Sonny Lubick? Who knows. Not many dudes do that, but he did. Maybe 8 years like Chris Peterson? Maybe not. No need to fret about it.

He is recruiting well, he is winning, he is getting the new IPF, he is probably going to get another raise soon, and the AAC is proving itself as a solid conference.

If he leaves for a P5 job then good for him. However, I think he'll be picky and wait for a good one. He ain't going to Illinois, Wake, Iowa State, Vandy or Oregon State.

He's paid more than Penny... How is he 2nd fiddle? He's no. 1 where it counts.
It's always " well if leaves good for him" until he leaves then it's "fu** you Mikey boy"
Norvell now being listed as one of the candidates USC may look at to replace Clay Helton. I'm afraid he would be West Coast bound if that offer came to fruition.

In the meantime, let's enjoy the ride. Go Tigers,
He's acknowledged how good he has it here and the fact that he can write his own ticket. Zero pressure, big pay and the fact that he is doing things that no one has done here before with this program.
He's also indicated that he likes recruiting the level of players he does. Also less pressure with that. Egos are less of a problem and buy in is much easier.

I think he stays for a while. Job security when your making the kind of money he is here, is important. He doesn't have to worry about that at all at Memphis and he knows that.
