Damn, this is hard to watch.
Fitzgerald with some good catches and Wolff with some really nice placement on the balls. Showing life with :45 76 yards for a td.

Wait for it.... 03-banghead BW, we won the 4th quarter 03-banghead
One of the most boring games that I have seen all season. FIU stinks .... so what does that say about ODU? I can't believe how increadibly terrible this team, the coaches, and the program are. God let this season end, I'm not sure that I can take anymore .... I can hear BW now, we were 3 plays away from winning this game. Our team is much improved. Just wait until next year, best 1-8 team in the country. Can't wait until next week.
Looks like we do have a QB if we can keep him. Need a few more WRs and a decent O-Line.
We have some pieces coming back with a conference schedule that is hardly any more challenging next year. I think the new coach could have a nice 3-4 game turnaround. Certainly a lot of ifs in that statement, but I also think this has been a better team than what we have seen the last couple of years.
Bobby named Wolff the starting QB moving forward and was excited what he saw today in all phases of the game.

64 team rushing yards. Yeah, I’m stoked Bobby.

I listened some to the radio broadcast, Ted talked about issues on the line:

Meiser- out
Ross- out
Washington- hurt but in
Bibby- hurt but in
Taiwo- reasonably healthy, I think

I didn't catch anything on issues at other D positions, but wasn't able to listen to the whole game, either...
Did I see that stat line right, La La Davis had 58 yards rushing? That had to be all in the 4th.
So, in catching bits and pieces, it sounds like Wolff will be a serviceable quarterback next year? Any additional insight from those who watched?
I would say serviceable at a minimum. Probably better than that with any kind of supporting cast.

With an offensive line, maybe, but he is sllow .... slow .... slow ..... has poor footspeed and pocket mobility, and makes a ton of mistakes (which might be corrected with experience). So, is he 'the' answer -- my opinion no, but he is better that what has been put out there the last several years. Without an O-line in front, it really doesn't matter who takes the snaps.

Wolff looks like keeper. His pocket mobility, quickness and footwork will all get better as he gets more reps. His ability to read the defense will make up for a lot. He is gonna be a good one.

I didn't watch much but he looked like a guy we'll want here next year
He did ok. Some promising things from a true freshman. He has to be quicker with his release though. Accuracy was off at times.

But considering there was almost no separation with our WRs, it was mostly good. The big plays were great throws to guys that were covered but the WRs made plays.

Certainly not good overall, but better than we’ve been in weeks.

Looks like I'm not the only one thinking that. Any chance Wolff realizes what a trash heap ODU football is, thinks the grass is greener somewhere else, and considers transferring?

Agreed but pretty lopsided criticism for a guy who threw all of his support behind smartt.
