I suspect MT will be a 2 or 3 point underdog when Vegas wakes up today...
espn matchup predictor, surprisingly, at least to me, has MT 62% and CLT 38%

If we play the remainder of the season as physical as we did yesterday we'll finish strong. Big if though.
Winner retains some not unreasonable chances to go bowling.

Quote:8. Game time
If it’s a Saturday game, don’t list the day.
If it’s not, give three letter abbrev for the day of the week: ‘FRI’ or ‘THU’
Give the time h:mm followed by an abbreviation for a/p (a.m. or p.m.) and time zone (MT,CT,ET). We play home games across three time zones, it’s not obvious which one your game is in and not all of us have memorized which time zone all of the schools are in!

Opened as a Pick'em, MT now -2 1/2.
I’ve always been afraid of karma one day catching up with us. During Charlotte’s first CUSA season we hung 42 points on them in the first quarter. Weren’t even trying to run up the score, but still. Not sure the 49ers ever forgot. Y’all correct me if I’m wrong though.

Quite possibly. Both teams are coming off mild upset wins. Who can keep the momentum? Middle has to win three of their next four to get to a bowl... likely all four to avoid being left in the cold at 6-6.

I want to see if MT can get that run game established again like they did last week. Sure the weather was insane and likely led to some sloppy plays for FIU. But man... rushing for 470 yards in a game is fantastic.

You were absolutely trying to run the score up. You tried an onside kick up three touchdowns, Stocksdale was throwing passes up six touchdowns and the coach called a timeout to avoid a delay of game in the forth.

Stocksdale the elder is looked upon with disdain in Charlotte.

Yeah, you don’t kick an onside kick up 21 nor chuck it deep in the second half and get to claim you weren’t trying to run up the score.
clt expects coach heals to show the film to the team as extra motivation

I made the trip over for the 2015 game, I can guarantee you any Niner fan in attendance will never forget that experience. Has anyone been able to find out if Lambert stole Stockstill's high school sweetheart or something? He was absolutely running the score up but we could offer zero resistance, except ironically on the onside kick when we were down 21-0 midway through the 1st which we returned to the house.

Hope Healy can exact vengeance upon Stockstill for that humiliation, but I don't like this match-up for us.

Interesting note from the Coach's Show is Healy worked at Elder Stockstill's football camp for 10 years and tried to hire Brent when he got the job here.

LMAO. There is no such thing as running up the score in the first quarter.

And for the record, MT ran 20 plays in the 4th quarter. Two of them were passes by a backup quarterback for 10 yards. The other 18 plays were runs for 87 yards. Not MT's fault our third string continued to roll on Charlotte. MT was just that much better than Charlotte then.

But y'all have improved while we have - well been pretty much the same team for eight years in a row now. And each year Charlotte has played the game a little closer than the year before. This game might look a lot like the UNT game.
The stats from that first quarter were like EA Sports NCAA football numbers...

RUSHES-YARDS (NET) Char: 8-26 // MT: 9-139
PASSING YDS (NET) Char: 17 // MT: 230
Passes Att-Comp-Int Char: 12-4-1 // MT: 12-11-0
TOTAL OFFENSE PLAYS-YARDS Char: 20-43 // MT: 21-369

I’m a huge fan of Healy. I went to Austin Peay for grad school and follow their FCS team. Healy took a team that had won about 3 games in as many years and made them OVC contenders. All in about 2 years.

I’m glad he landed a FBS job and I think you’ll see how he will establish a culture of winning and excitement. When their DL got a sack, he had a metal trashcan for them and they could carry it around like a point of pride. Kind of like Miami’s turnover chain.
clt can report that cam Newton’s brother will be at the game. He is in the transfer portal and is visiting schools

Can you report whether or not it would go better than your last famous sibling transfer?

Ouch but I imagine this one would go better as Brad Lambert is no longer our coach and Caylin doesn't have a history of incidents.
