Not college football but hahahaha at the Braves. Not the losing but how big they're losing.

Is it the Braves in a post season? What part of this is surprising? The surprising is that they managed to take a series lead.
1 title in the Bobby Cox era. That's hard to do.
Did the baseball gods frown on taking away the foam tomahawks?
If there are baseball gods, they've been brutal to the Astros.
You know Rutgers is bad when Indiana is a 27.5 favorite.

Clemson is a 27 point favorite at home against Florida St.

I'll still pick Tulane at home over UGone despite 34 point spread.

When you consider how all Atlanta had to do was pretty much show up and win the division back then, it wasn't that Atlanta was all that great all the time, but, a puncher's chance they should have grabbed more than one.

There was some pretty bad baseball played in Atlanta's division back then...
Please, the Expos had a great team that was screwed, the Mets with Piazza was a force and even the Marlins won 2 titles.
Nats 7 Dodgers 3

Yet Another Dodgers postseason choke job....

The Braves were hard to keep up with as a fan in those years. I used to watch the Braves and actually got my wife to follow them. I do not follow them as I used to because baseball has not followed the NFL playbook, as far as the union is concerned,as well as the shared profits. The players did not invest.

Sure, that could have been waiting for them. They won the NL east something like ten years in a row, and racked up some great records along the way, but choked or fizzled on the way to a WS.

In Philly during those years, we knew we sucked most of those seasons, but our press didn’t take the Braves seriously all that often, either. They could walk through the east...it was weird, now thinking back. And it was a different kind of vibe than, say, the disdain and disrespect for the Dallas Cowboys in football. And those Braves teams were jacked. But playing in the east when you had the other years when Florida and Montreal just stunk, and Philly not much better. A paper tiger of sorts.
MLB did not have weighted division schedules for much of Atlanta's division title run. Many years, they played other division foes as much as the NL East, especially after the advent of interleague play.
Back to college football.....

I can see Miami upsetting #20 Virginia tonight.
