Hoping to get some ULM fans to move to this free forum to discuss games with opposing schools fans. Liking forward to this game. Memphis has tons of team speed and the Warhawks will need good special teams play, not allow plays, and get some turnovers to win this one. Thoughts?
Well, ok, I will bite Todd!

Thanks John.
I’m in as well! I think we can beat them, but it will take a near perfect game. I predict both teams make a couple mistakes but they pull away late in the 3rd quarter. Score won’t be as bad as the ISU game where literally everything worked against us, but I think Memphis is likely better than ISU. Best team we will play this year.

I can’t disagree with that. Memphis probably is better than ISU, but we are a terrible matchup with big physical Big 10 type teams like ISU. I know they are Big 12, but they are built like a Big 10. I think we can match up better than Memphis, as we are both built more to contend with the SEC style and not Big 10 type play. MAC is built like Big 10, but we have more speed and can beat them. We have problems with speed and size. With that said Memphis is gonna be a very tough out. Glad we have them at home.
Hey guys, looking forward to the game. I am worried about this one, and wish like hell it was in Memphis.
Welcome to the board. Being at home definitely helps our chances, but you guys are legit. We will have to play like the second half at FSU to have a chance. (except make our damn kicks ?). I do think special teams make a difference in this one and I’m afraid y’all have a LOT better special teams.
GOOD MORNING TO ALL07-coffee3
See y’all tomorrow. Looking forward to the game.
Tiger fan here, Thanks for the invite to the board!

We are heading down in the am.

Sounds like there will be plenty of Offense in this one.
I hope you guys find some great food, nice people, and get out of Monroe injury free! I think that’s a fair amount of good to wish upon an opponent haha.
Memphis Tiger fan here so thanks for the invite. I live in Shreveport and we are heading over to Monroe tomorrow morning. Where do most people tailgate? Any other Tiger fans tailgating?
I wish I was able to make this game. I always enjoy trips to Louisiana! Great food and great people! Although sometimes it's difficult to understand Cajun. 03-wink

Seriously, though... I've been impressed with your season so far. It makes me think this game along with Navy will be our toughest to date.

Here's to a great injury-free game! Best of luck tomorrow!

Go Tigers Go!

The new grove is off the corner of the visitor side of Malone Stadium. RVs are parked behind the visitor side and paid parking is there as well. Free parking will be on the west side of Bayou Desiard on campus. Can't vouch for the food this game because of the early kick off. I am just doing the "there are the fixin's, make your own sandwich" tailgate but I will have cold beer and a TV with football on.

Looks like y'all transformed a bit to be more run oriented, so I hope that helps out our defense some. Will need a heck of a game by our boys, I fear.
Strength vs strength in this one. UL-M is near the bottom in TFL(93rd) and Sacks(102nd), but Memphis is near the bottom in giving up TFL(120th) and mid-pack in Sacks allowed(55th).

UL-M is among the leaders in not giving up TFL(11th) and Sacks allowed(39th) but Memphis is among the top teams in TFL(18th) and mid-pack in Sacks(61st).

Johnson is a quality rusher, however, the Tigers have given up 100 yards to a rusher just once this season, 101 by a Navy running back. This is the first time in almost 2 years that the new DC squad has allowed a 100 rusher.

Tigers #1 in the nation in yards allowed passing. And top 5 in pass eff defense. And 11th in total defense. Last week became the first team to hold Navy to a 3 and out all year.

Tigers have a strong running game despite the absence of the team's top returning RB. Gainwell has stepped in and shown all the performance that has been expected of him in the future. Still 50/50 on if Patrick Taylor will play. If 100% has the ability to pound it out and move the stack which still busting loose for the big one.

When not forced to scramble White is a very accurate passer in the pocket. Already sitting 6th in career passing yards in just 18 yards as TIger and 5th in career TD passes. Memphis is 8th nationally in completion percentage. White has completed 73% of his passes with 8 TDs and just 2 picks. Those 2 picks have come off a pass that bounced off the hands of the WR and a screen pass where the running back was tackled before the pass was thrown.

Tigers have replaced their record-tying kick off returner(Pollard 7 kick off returns for TD) as Gabriel Rogers returned a kick off 99 yards last week for a TD.
My observation about this years TIGERS is that they play very physical and they have a lot of very fast players in positions where speed is needed. This will be an interesting match up and I think the TIGERS will be well prepared. Our last game was against NAVY on Thursday so we have had some extra days to prepare for ULM. I would expect a good turnout of U of Memphis fans.

Thanks for the info! I may shoot a message to you tomorrow and see if I can find ya. What time do y’all usually start setting up? Or get started if y’all stay out there?
I think our Tigers will need a great game as well to come out of your place with a win, I’m a bit nervous about it!

I am in spot 52. My spot backs up to the old soccer field. You can't miss the field. I will probably be there and set up by 10
