Brett thinks Michigan is only going to lose 3 games this year? They got their doors blown off by Wisconsin, and they still have to play Iowa, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.

Ironic how Brett's jab is probably a compliment this season.

So, what did Jim do to earn all of this punishment from the press? Some Michigan brass sitting in the executive offices at these places?
Seems like they're being a bit tough on him. 10-3 seems pretty good, no? Especially when compared to his predecessors.
It takes time to build a national championship level program.

How many years did it take Tom Osborne at Nebraska?
How many years did it take Bobby Bowden at Florida State?

I know that Michigan expects championships and their rival is Ohio State but Michigan is in the hunt. Harbaugh is a great coach. He recruits well. Time and the stars aligning make the Wolverines national champions.
I thought July 5th was Harbaugh Day?!

10-3 is pretty good, of course. But the jabs can be explained as (a) JH has never endeared himself to the press, so the press likes jabbing him, and (b) let's face it, Harbaugh was hired not to be a run of the mill coach, but to beat Ohio State and when they play, Notre Dame, win B1G titles, and make the playoffs or win the Rose Bowl.

He's done none of any of that in his three years so far.

I don't have a dog in the fight but blue blood programs in 2019 that pay head coaches multi-million dollar contracts don't wait for championships like decades ago. It's a different animal now. Harbaugh is a good coach - I don't know about great - but he can't beat his arch rival and hasn't even played in a B1G Chip game. That doesn't help his cause in Ann Arbor.

This is year five for Harbaugh at Michigan.

Plus what is his salary, again. +2
All Hail Jim HairBOW.

Im sure Michigan is moving out of the "We are going to be National Champions this year" phase of their football season into the "our player is going to win the Heisman Trophy" phase of the season.

I for one an gleeful any time that Michigan loses in any sport. Having grown up in Michigan i have lived the pompous arrogance of the alums and the Walmart Wolverines too.

I realize my team is probably gonna have to swallow their footBALLS tonight after getting their ass kicked so hard by the Bucks today that they will have to choke them back down. But it is at least a game between honorable rivals

Go State
Beat Michigan
That Michigan/Iowa game was one crap fest.

I saw the score at the half was 10-3. That was the final score. A real barn burner. Harbaugh survives for another week...
Say what you will about the lack of style. A win over the #14 team is a feather in anyone’s cap.

A great defensive game is not sexy enough for a lot of people. I personally have no problem with them.
we'll learn a lot about Michigan in 2 weeks when they play in Penn St. And the next week when they host Notre Dame.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Iowa-Michigan and Florida-Auburn games. Hard-hitting slugfests.
