What gets me with these things is how many mercenaries are in politics. Campaigns' bad news leaks like a sieve.

"...But party operatives, and even some Sanders allies, aren’t convinced that the swing through Iowa was strategic. “Bernie has no idea how to right the ship and neither does anybody around him,” a Democratic activist with knowledge of the campaign says. “They don’t know where they’re going. They know things aren’t going well and they’re grasping at ideas....”"

And then there was this, which I think is meant mainly as a compliment!

"...“My go-to answer when anyone asks me what Bernie’s really like, and I get asked that question all the time, is he is exactly how he is onstage in real life," a former aide to Sanders says. "He’s kind of a cranky, cantankerous old man who is completely and just obsessively convinced of his convictions. There’s no political calculation, really, with the things he does and says. And that’s why he can speak with a clear mind and clear heart about his economic message better than almost anyone can. But it also comes with pitfalls....”"
He has less of a chance than he did against Hillary, which I think is as much a testament to how much people didn't like her as it is to how much they like him.

I'm with Bernie Medicare fir all but beyond that I largely find him whiney and Looney.

Broadly in theory, or do you actually support his horrific plan where medicare 4 all is such a great idea that it must be implemented by force and competition is made illegal?
I guess I should laud him for standing by his beliefs (which most politicians don't).

The fact that what he wants to do (socialism) hasn't been successful anywhere and there isn't enough money in the entire country to fund his proposed spending spree makes me view him as dangerous.......I wouldn't worry about the danger so much if there weren't so many ignorant lefties that love him......

Every socialist government winds up ruling their country at gunpoint because the policies fail so epically. How do people not see that........blinded by the promise of free stuff?????

Medicare is conceptually government-paid basic care with private insurance upgrades. That's like Bismarck, and generally well-received.

But that's not what Berne wants to do. He wants to eliminate private insurance, which is single-payer, not Bismarck.

I really think the democrats need to take a short primer in the differences between single-payer (like Canada), single-provider (like UK), and Bismarck (like Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, all of which are generally rated higher than Canada or UK).

For that matter, so do republicans, and they need to get behind Bismarck.

He is ignorant and convinced of his ignorance, all evidence to the contrary.

I don't know how anyone could support someone dumb enough to think the USSR was wonderful.
He can then go back to what he used to do: Nothing
