I was really impressed with Minter. However, looking at the stats it seems that the team just seems to forget to use him in some games. Is it play calling philosophy? He looks to be the kind of guy you would want to see get 15+ touches a game.
My understanding is he was hurt a while and came back with limited action in other games.
I think it is because we fall behind early and get away from the game plan. We should be getting the ball to Minter and Baker 25 to 30 touches a game.
He was concussed in the first quarter against Memphis and against Jackson State USA used a lot of backs as they were all getting yards. In the other games either the OL wasn't getting a push (Nebraska) or the deficit was so big so fast that they had to get away from running the ball (UAB).
