Planning to be there. The people I’d anticipated going with bailed, so I think I’m going solo. If anyone has a tailgate I can crash, let me know. Also thinking I may check out Republic of Cincy’s tailgate

I can’t think of a reason to go to Huntington other than for this game, so I suppose this Saturday.
I used to have family there. On one visit, my older sister, a friend and I went over to the Marshall campus for a look-see. This was about sixty years ago. I have no recollection of the place other than we stumbled upon the motionless body of a man stretched out across a sidewalk. It was a brisk autumn night, and we thought he was dead, but in fact he was just stone-cold drunk. We weren't able to rouse him and somehow notified the police, who eventually showed up and carted him off. I remember that he was wearing a nice business suit.

My memory from 2008 was the bars were still all smoking and I think I was the only one without a lot cig in my mouth at all times.

I wish I'd thought about that before I decided to go and bought tickets. I don't do smoke.
It's been a decade plus, maybe that's changed. The two things that stick out to me most about that game are that and the incredible parallel parking job I did on a little street next to the stadium.

Yes, they're going. As I understand it, they'll be performing on the field for part of halftime.

Let's see if Luke has them prepared this time. Last Marshall game had me wanting Tommy back. Still have zero idea how good or bad this team really is this season. I think we are not quite as good as last year because the offensive line has definitely taken a step back.

Yep. It's hard to have an identity as a power running, shove the ball down your throat offense without a solid O-line.
Does anyone have a suggestion on a place to stay?
