Hope Carter doesn't make up his mind until his brother gets settled at EMU. Like, wouldn't it be nice for the whole family to trip to Ypsi as Samson gets moved in.
Another verbal. A safety/wide receiver from Geogia. Quentavius Scandrett

Good to see some progress. Looks like 2 guys from Georgia the last week. Whoever has that area on our staff is doing a good job. Anyone know if the Iowa RB is eligible this year?

Don't know.

What is interesting is that Samson's bro is a h.s. senior and their h.s. had an OL who is transferring from Iowa (and would be a sitout).

What it means is that it is possible that we can get both Evans brothers. Maybe.
And if those two commit, then maybe a third player, if the relationships are there... (Samson Evans and Jeffrey Jenkins were high school teammates and teammates at Iowa).

If there ever was a 'recruit the school' this is it!!!
I realize I'm hard on CC for recruiting, yes he has added 4 recruits in 30 days, but we're 11th out 12 schools in the MAC in 2021! W Mich, C Mich, N Illinois, and Toledo have between 13-18 recruits, and we play them every season! Only Akron is ranked below us........This is the season CC has to go 8-5! A winning record! 6-7, and 4-4, or 3-5 in the MAC doesn't help win recruiting battles!!!!! Ask Jim Harbaugh why Ohio St owns him.........RECRUITING! You can't teach size, speed, and talent........just win baby!

It not how you start its how you finish. A girlfriend of mine once said that and its wise advice.

Only time will tell.......need to finish in the top 5 in MAC recruiting! This is his SEVENTH recruiting class! I hope you're correct!

The Harbaugh analogy with respect to OSU is correct. Michigan, while having a revered past history had not been relevant nationally for at least ten years prior to Harbaugh's arrival. OSU has indeed been kicking his butt with respect to recruiting as a result.

EMU football has been the "Rutgers" of the MAC since 1989, THIRTY YEARS AGO! It is going to take some time for us to compete in recruiting.

I disagree. I don't think we are the Rutgers of the MAC. Our recruiting the last 3 years has been remarkably better than in years prior. We have gotten WAY more 3 star guys and high character guys that are making a difference and it shows getting to bowl games on 3 of 4 years. CC is recruiting a very specific type of guy and while I want to see quicker progress, I have to trust that he knows something I dont. I agree that this year for some reason I cannot explain has been SLOW, but I'm more concerned with how the RS Sophomores will play and if any RS Freshmen see action. Collectively this is the deepest roster EMU has put together in a while. Should be fun to see the boy compete.

Sidenote.....CC has gotten 2 Big10 transfers this season alone.....The MSU lineman and the Iowa RB. He clearly is getting talented players. Maybe the numbers dont show for it now but I think he's earned the right to give him some time. Also, previous post mentioned somehting like 8 wins this year. Would LOVE to see it, but this year's schedule is tough and I likely see 6, maybe 7 wins. 2021 with that OOC schedule looks more likely.

Ali Fisher WR from Ann Arbor to U Buffalo.
He was a EMU target.

Steve, I did indeed misspeak. EMU was "Rutgers" 1989-2016. I'm not real sure about the value of the Big Ten transfers, remember Dan Samuelson but I agree that Creighton has better players and citizens coming here every year. I might be his biggest fan.

My whole point, is look where Buffalo football is the past 5 years! It's only time before there coach gets plucked a way! We need to win these battles! Compare Buffalo's coach to CC? Similar time frame........Buffalo wasn't good at football either! Won the MAC, 10 win season, and then recruits take you seriously! I'm ready for the disagreement!

I'm with you that EMU was an historically bad program and I get the comparison back then. It's fun to see the program on the rise. I do wish we had more recruits as of late but I'm confident CC will end up getting the right guys that buy into his way of doing it.

I look at it differently. Yes I want the quick improvement but when I hear about guys not wanting be a part of EMU, I don't want them around. To commit to something like CC's culture of hard work, factory, etc. is a unique type of guy and the type of player that is fun to root for. As for the 10 win season.....lol Are you talking about the super difficult schedule in 2018 when they had to play Temple and Delaware State? Look at the OOC schedules when counting total wins. They also beat us by 1 TD that year. The MAC is so unpredictable and teams can go from being picked last to winning the MAC (i.e. Athlon). This year will be a tough one for us with games at Kentucky, Army and MIZZOu. I think we have a 6 win team that will be fun to watch. 2021 will be the telling season with a weaker OOC schedule.
