Great to have Vad back on campus. Great guy, great role model who will have a big positive impact on our athletes as their new character coach.
When Marcus Anderson announced he was heading to ECU a few days ago someone mentioned that he needed to bring Vad Lee with him out there he responded with something like "we are working on something just wait and see" I'm not sure if he was referencing Vad going to ECU or Vad replacing him here. I thought the Vad to JMU news was older so I didn't think that was what he was referring to but hopefully. It would be a shame if Vad turns around and heads to ECU as well. I am hoping Marcus was just referencing Vad coming back here and replacing him but he had already been at the game working on Saturday and Marcus mentioned that we should be looking for something soon.

Glad to have Vad back though, particularly if he is here for awhile. I think he had a similar role in Indiana for just a few months though.

Vad is connected to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the Valley. That is a mission position that requires him to raise his own funds. I know some JMU alumni currently support his effort. I am not sure what role the character coach position plays in his FCA ministry (separate deal or part of it), but I assume it’s part of his FCA ministry. Here is the link to his giving page if anyone is interested https://my.fca.org/donation?id=323f60cd-...esentative
Vad is also training still for the upcoming XFL season. His play in the league with fan vote/participation caught the eye of some XFL folks. He and his wife now have 2 daughters.

Remember when we were catfished by a fake poster claiming to be Vad his senior year after he was hurt?
Also, from what I gather from him JMU is home. If pro football calls you take that possible opportunity, and we all know a pro career shelf life is not long. But his heart is ultimately in Christian ministry no matter where he is, and he loves JMU. And yes, other opportunities have come his way. He wants to be at JMU.
Can he still play? We could use him!

Being on sidelines with Vad is outstanding. He is such a great inspiration to the team. This youngman is such great resource for JMU athletics. Vad is there for spiritual and emotional guidance to the team. Vad bleeds purple.

Yeah it looks like the announcement that was being spoken of on twitter a few days ago was Vad's arrival, which is great. I though the announcement had already been made since he was on the sidelines and I was worried they were announcing he was leaving for ECU as well. I'm glad Vad is back. I've heard him speak at FCA events before and he is a great guy and should do well in this role!
No better person for the job. Glad to see him back.
