I think its silly to argue about what you want to hear and not hear in an interview for a HC. Hire the best coach you can.
With the exception of a handful of jobs in the country, ALL HC jobs are stepping stone jobs. If Notre Dame, Alabama, Texas, etc., want your head coach, they will get them. That includes Ole Ms, MSU, Florida State, UCF, Michigan State, Boise St., etc. Sure, those schools can pay their HC more and therefore kepp them longer, but they have all lost their HC to other schools. Would def help if we could pay $1.5-2.5 mill to hold on to someone. Gotta find someone to beat Charlotte, FAU and FIU first though.
So Eastern freaking Michigan beat Illinois today, Georgia Southern is currently down 1 in the 2nd half at Minnesota, and Ole Miss is struggling to pull away from Southeastern Louisiana, but we can’t expect to not get shellacked by State because changing landscape and whatnot.

and ULM blew it against Florida St the other day. No one says we should be LSU, but sheesh. We should be much better than we are in year 4, especially in this garbage conference. Hell, this guy inherited a 9-3 team. NO EXCUSES. As he likes to say, "we get what we deserve". That goes for him too. He gets what he deserves if he gets fired. The dumb **** shoulda been fired when he publicly chastised the University President and acting AD. Bet McClain can't wait to fire his ass if (when) he falters this year.

Harris was lucky he actually didn't fumble the ball...he didn't have a good grip on it going to hole, then pulled the 180 move 'Fletcher style'...prolly nerves....he made up for it....

amazingly, we draw a punt by applying pressure....
we got lucky not getting beat on that corner blitz....
it's funny what happens to the opposition when they know somebody's going to get creamed if they don't get rid of it immediately....
we're going to get burnt on the draw play at some point later in the game if we get too aggressive....
regardless, that was much better than the last two D schemes....

receiver should've turned outside....that incompletion was on the receiver...

chip's just gonna wear out our secondary a new one every drive if we play loose zone .......
our secondary doesn't have the speed/side/chops to win that battle...it's too easy to pick apart...
