Sigh. I thought last year was the worst CUSA has been since it's inception but it looks like we're even worse this year. Here's my power rankings:

1. UAB 2-0
T2. Marshall 1-1
T2. MTSU 1-1
T2. USM 1-1
T5. UNT 1-1
6. LT 1-1
7. UNCC 1-1
T8. FAU 0-2
T8. Rice 0-2
T8. UTSA 1-1
T11. ODU 1-1
T11. WKU 1-1
13. UTEP 1-1
14. FIU 0-2
The only thing I know for sure is that FAU should be below UAB and Marshall and above FIU. That's all I know.
Isn’t that an oxymoron?......

The suckage is epic. We (as a conference) have played 15 FBS-opponents and have lost to 14 of them. UAB’s victory over Akron is the high-note so far.

I’ll check some stats and highlights before putting up my ratings.

13. UTEP 1-1
14. FIU 0-2

Weekly power ratings are based on that week. Let me know who had a better win today or even last week than Western? A conference win is 100x better than that team almost played the other team close. Or it was close for 3/4 of the game. Hell it even out weights a bad lost..when everyone else has a bad loss. Yes getting your brians beat in by a P5 school that you though would have 5 or 6 wins....

is a bad loss. Let me guess, now Miss St is a contender for a playoff spot?

So FIU is not FBS or you only counting OOC? iTS nice to see you consider Akron a team that looked Jayvee as a better win than over the CUSA east preseason #1

I believe they are taking about the overall conference's strength there, so a conference game can't make the conference stronger. When the loser is the expected East Champ and winner is a team that lost to a FCS team last week it definitely makes us look weaker. It may or may not be a better win than Akron. So far, FIU looks ridiculously overrated. Also, I think the power poll is for the season thus far and the week two title just shows it's the most up to date version. Congrats on the win though! Hopefully it shows you're headed in the right direction, rather than that FIU couldn't make the FCS Playoffs.

Do you want me to change the title of the thread to just "CUSA Power Rankings"? And no, an FCS loss at home is a stain, sorry. And FIU is garbage. Since you asked, I predict MSU will prob be a 7-ish win team this year. They are a good team, definitely will be a bowl eligible team.

I dont recall this power ranking being about overall season. Maybe I'm wrong. Also Tulane is not as bad as some of you think. They did play a top 10 team as close as the #2 team in this poll played a top 10 team.

If you go by playing a bad game how do you put the #1 pick in the west top 5 when they just got beat 49-27 and it could have been worse? I believe SMU was considered worse than Tulane, a team that won 7 games last year.

FIU IS THe only team to play 2 FBS schools (edit) other than Rice
14. FIU lost to WKU (last week 13)
13. Rice- tough loss Army loss looked a little better today, but Wake Forest is worse. (last week 10)
12. FAU- 2 tough losses to 2 good teams. (last week 11)
11. WKU - nice conference win bounce back. (last week 14)
10. Tech- squeaked by an FCS (last week 12)
9. UTEP - tough loss against P5 (last week 8)
8. MTSU - comfortable FCS win. (last week 9)
7. ODU - tough loss against top 25 (last week 7)
6. North Texas - tough loss against G5 (last week 5)
5. Charlotte - tough loss against G5 (Last week 4)
4. UTSA - tough loss against P5 (last week 3)
3. USM - tough loss against P5 (last week 2)
2. Marshall - close loss against top 25. Impressive defense. (Last week 1)
1. UAB easiest schedule so far, but 2-0 is where everyone else wishes they were. (last week 6)

Again I ask you to point me to a better win than a win over FIU? Just one? FIU might suck donkey balls but a loss to Tulane and Western puts them in no worse company than a win over a really bad FCS and getting your skull beat in by a team most of your fans thought wouldnt go bowling

I knew I was forgetting someone and I edited Rice in but forgot FAU.
WKUYG, the good news is you guys can keep moving up in the power rankings because THAT'S how terrible CUSA is this year. The fact you guys can lose at home to an FCS team (for the second consecutive year I believe) and then turn around and win a conference game really shows just how bad the conference is. Yeesh.
1. WKU
2. UAB (Did what they were supposed to do)
T3. The rest
LOL at the WKU guy complaining about everyone's power rankings...

Now the power rating goes back to last year? I asked you a question, point one to a win better than over FIU? Yes Western has the worse loss but in name only and it's only 1 loss....

I personally would rank UNTs loss to SMU as worse after reading their fans opinions. Plus they are the clear favorite in CUSA.

Western's win was ugly because we still have problems on offense. And I would not rate Western top 4 if just going by that win. But there's zero question beating FIU @FIU is the best win in cusa, so far.

First of all, your idea of weekly power ranking is dumb. And forgive me, when did I ever say MSU was a terrible team or wouldn't go bowling? I think you're confusing me with someone else...BTW, Id rather get skull dragged (even though I don't think our loss was a skull dragging) by an SEC West team than lose at home to a friggin' FCS team back to back years. Yikes.

Geez, imagine being triggered because of some rando's conf power rankings on an internet message board.
My week 2 power ranking = ranking every conference team through the first 2 weeks.

Don't lose at home to FCS teams and you won't be so low in MY rankings capeesh?
