Already throwing out bowl predictions.

Here's Brett McMurphy's thoughts:

New Orleans Bowl – (C-USA vs. Sun Belt)
Projection: Louisiana Tech vs. Appalachian State

Camellia Bowl – (MAC vs. Sun Belt)
Projection: Western Michigan vs. Louisiana

Cure Bowl – (American vs. Sun Belt)
Projection: Temple vs. UL-Monroe

Dollar General Bowl – (MAC vs. Sun Belt)
Projection: Eastern Michigan vs. Georgia State

Arizona Bowl – (Mountain West vs. Sun Belt)
Projection: Wyoming vs. Troy

3 East Teams and 2 West Teams
I can't see a world in which stAte doesn't make a bowl. That new QB is good.

I would replace ULM with ASTATE in the above scenario.
These predictions would be the same as your week 0 predictions. We learned not much after week one. Why would ULL get a nod over South at this point? They both performed equally, and South did it against a top 25 team, as empty as that ranking really is since that team went 4-8 last season.

I’d wait until week 4 before making any real assessment of the teams.

I'd agree with that. While last season's performances and what a team is returning matters, you really need three or four games to get a good feel about where everyone's at.
lol. We lose to a top 5 team and now we won't even win 6 games.
You can win 6, or 7, games and not make a bowl game.

ULM did it last year. We've done it twice.

Glad to know that at least SOMEONE else doesn't think we're going under this year
So... I am going to ask a newbie question since we have only been to 2 bowls, and I know a few of you have had repeats in the same... I see we are listed for Cure Bowl again. Would there be a chance to swap with one of our other bowls? Not saying I haven't had a good time in Orlando. I pretty much have the hotel, tailgate and drive schedule down pat now that we have done it twice. Just wondering if that is a consideration,

There is usually a pecking order when it comes to Sun Belt bowls. When it's not the NOLA bowl (Belt champ), it mainly comes down to the two bama bowls, then cure, then the bowl out west. In that order, they have mainly been known to pick the best avaliable team, though travel plays a small part in it

Edit: The quick answer is - don't finish 4th
Last year it was announced before the CCG that the Cure Bowl will take the SBC Runner Up. I don't think there's been an announcement on where the runner-up will go this year. New Orleans has already been announced to be hosting the Champion again this year.

Forgot ULL played in Cure last year haha. It changed when the NOLA bowl took the champ. So yeah, it can be different this year. The one way to guarantee you don't get Cure is to win the SBC tho.
Wow, they’re already counting us out. That seems a bit premature

Sun Belt seems pretty strong this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see several of our top teams beating up on each other and we may very well have six or seven bowl eligible this season albeit with a lot of 6-6 or 7-5 type teams in the mix.

So I guess taking FSU to OT and then a bye week drops you out of bowls.
