I think the spread may be somewhere between 35-49 points. Hope lightning strikes again this year. Let’s Go Monarchs!
Blacksburg is a harsh environment to play a game in. I hope the team preps for the stadium noise as well as what they will face on the field. Who is heading to the game this weekend?

Every achievement that JMU has held over our heads for years has been systematically, and somewhat effortlessly dispatched by Monarch Football.

beating VT in Blacksburg is their last crowning achievement.

Let’s go and strip this Bragging Right from them.

JMU beat ECU 05-stirthepot
The 7 of us will be there (assuming my house has electricity by the end of the week)
Young team in a big stadium with an OL that cannot create a run game to control the clock. Against a team we upset last year. In a game where they lost in Week 1. I don't like the way this game feels. 2 TD game is a victory but like most I am feeling a blow out. I hope I am wrong.
Herslow was to risking at returning punts vs. NSU.
They scored 28 last week against a good ACC defense, wouldn't be surprised if they score 42 or more against us.

Agree. Couple of bone head plays.
Is "Let's piss off Goliath" the theme this week?

Just another waypoint in our total dominance of JMU football. lol

We’ll get our chance to erase ECU in a few weeks

Aaaaand, we’re still 2-0 against JMU.
If the BC game is any indication, VT is still reeling from the disarray of last season, that included a losing season and an alleged "plot" to lose the Marshall game so as not to have to go to a bowl.

VT tried to run balanced offense but absolutely could not run against BC, averaging 2.3 yards per carry with a long of 10 yards on 42 carries. Holy cow, VT OL not running on all cylinders.
The VT passing game was mostly short and controlled, averaging 7.3 yards per catch.
Tech QB Willis was at about 62% but threw 3 INTs.

Tech's run defense looks to be better than last year.
Based on our performance on the ground vs NSU, and VT vs BC, we are going to have a tough go on the ground, especially between the tackles. We might have some success with the option around the edge.

The Virginia Tech pass defense appears to be exploitable.
However, VT is going to gladly key on Kumah, and with no real downfield passing threat, VT will be able to bring the DBs up against our short passing game, and blitz at will.

This is not a good VT team. I think our defense can hold the line for at least the first half, but if our offense cannot get anything going to help spell the D, the 2nd half could get really ugly.

And, at this point we are the only active FBS-FCS football program in the state of VA that does not have an overall losing record against the Hokies. With our series at 1 - 1 (50-50%) we have a better record than UVA, JMU, Richmond, W&M, VMI and of course VCU. 03-thumbsup

Agree. Couple of bone head plays.

“A” bonehead play where he miss read the wind and had to go back on the ball.

The other play where he picked the ball up after it touched a NsU defender is actually a brilliant play bc it is a no lose sitatuon and he cannot lose a fumble. Its a rule a lot of people dont understand.
