Great showing by UTEP & UAB. Southern Miss & UTSA also with respectable numbers. I was curious how UNT’s 23k compared historically to our other games vs FCS opponents. That is UNT’s best ever attendance vs an FCS school.
Impressive numbers by UTEP and UAB.
MT vs Tennessee State should be decent, and Duke game too. Maybe we won't be in last place
3 over 30K on the same weekend. Don't know how often that has happened (if at all) since realignment.

Thanks, fixed.
If we have a good showing at App, I think we average 15k, which is our capacity (sorry). Expansion is coming.

Our remaining games all have a big reason for people to show.

Umass - Probably the swing game of our season, if we win, we are in solid shape, if we lose, it's gonna be hard to have a good year.
FAU - Homecoming
NT - first home game in a month, and should bring out a few casual fans. Probably the best team we play at home, and Fine is legit.
MTSU - Family day, and MTSU generally brings a few fans.
Marshall - Game is always well attended, and Marshall will sell their allotment for sure.

Long story short, I'll be very disappointed if we don't average a sellout this season.
I believe ours was actually changed to 45k+..... I don’t remember the exact number.
That was an encouraging start. UTEP is next home game after MSU, Troy, and Bama. We might actually NEED the beer by then.

I've seen some very strange comments about UAB attendance figures. Like 6,000 people were counted that were tailgating, but didn't go into the stadium to watch the game. That seems to be the delta between the 45k you mention and the 39k posted on ESPN.
If UTEP could get their stuff together, they could average >40k. It seems like their fans are just begging for a reason to show up in droves.
Very solid numbers for Week 1, but based on some of the performances, I'd be surprised if they all stay this high.

True. The fan base is there. How many G5’s can say they had 34k for a FCS team that’s far away. The fans are hungry for a good product on the field. But they’ll stay away if the product is awful. Hopefully Dimel can turn the corner but we’ll see.
Sorry if this has been discussed before but which schools DON'T count tix scanned? And how do they count their attendance if not, Tix sold?

I don't believe this has ever been discussed. The numbers posted are counted same way Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame count their attendance.

However, we may have just learned that UAB counts people in parking lots within a 1 mile radius of Legion field.

These comparisons are completely useless and mean absolutely nothing UNLESS every team in the group follows the SAME method of counting those who attend. Scanning or turnstile method is most accurate and either one should be adopted and until such time the schools numbers should never been included. Tickets sold, announced attendance, etc is full of holes and mean nothing except as a means for schools with poor attendance and small fan basis to hide their true situation.
