The Good
Return opening KO for TD

The Bad
The offensive scheme looks exact same as last year with short weenie-arm protecting passes
We couldn't score a TD the opening drive with that bad Offensive
We didn't go for it on the 2 yard line
Our Defense looks terrible against a SWAC school

The Ugly
Starting RB went down with what looked like a bad knee injury his first touch.
Abraham is GARBAGE! Again....first time he throws it over 15 yards in the air with his weak-ass WEENIE arm and its an interception (just like all of last year). The guy is pathetic and has no business playing DI QB.
This offense looks just as bad as last year. Any chance of bringing fans back with an exciting offense is gone. It’s not that we don’t have the personnel. The entire scheme and playcalling are just awful.

Not looking good
2019 is looking just like 2018 which looked just like 2017 which looked just like 2016.

All of which looks remarkably like 2001.

6 fk'n rushing yds at the half....ya gotta be shittin' me...
Hopson has to be fired this year. I see no other alternative.
This is one scary, scary performance even if we do win.

If
Cant wait to hear Hop at post game going on about how he said Alcorn was a good football team and that tonight shows how good Alcorn is and then how good Jack played.

If

we've accumulated quite a list of 'those' over the past 2 decades....
Non BCS schools should never hire defensive coaches. You have to score points in this league because you cant sign the hosses to play defense first football. They better not run out of beer at the games because they will need a bunch this year.

Did you? I never said he was a good hire.
Offense has looked much better this half now that we’re going down field with it. Still not great, but better than the first half.

nope...and I never said you did...

what I find interesting is your disdain for Abraham....I don't see that part of the equation as valid....

Bc it frustrates me that his weak arm handcuffs the offense and he remains the starter. Nothing personal with him.

Abraham and the receivers are the only bright side to our offense. Our receivers dropped at least 4 passes that I saw. Is he a pro prospect, no. But, he is plenty good to win every conf game we play.

If Whatley put the team in a better position to win, he would be starting. I hope Jaden wins the starting position outright next season and it isn't close.

Anderson only needs to be in on short yardage plays. I think we are going to see more of Baker and Kempf going forward.
38-10 and looked awful. the very definition of a struggle win.

I agree about Baker and Kempf kid. The only question is will they run that hard against real defenses? The small scrubs were in by the time they got some touches, and they both seemed a little small. Baker got tossed around like a rag doll a couple of times.
Abraham just does not have the ‘it’ factor. He’s not going to take the team on his shoulders and drag it to victory.
The freshmen QBs look impressive. The questions of whether they will be won’t be answered this year it appears.
A few things not game-related.

1. Freshman Flight should have been called off if only twenty kids signed up for it. Looked absolutely awful and embarrassing to see that little student support in the event.

2. Lower-priced concessions are great, but waiting thirty minutes in line isn't. We need to have some stands around the walkway, not just the ones built into the place. And why don't we have people walking the aisles trying to sell drinks and snacks? This seems so basic.

3. Walkout was dreadful. One of the worst we've ever had. We just gathered by the goal post and sat there awkwardly until they blew the cannon. No tunnel, no band to run through. It was plain bad. There's gotta be something we can do better with this.

4. I'm not a fan of the kids out on the field at halftime, but if you're going to do it, commit to it. What I saw tonight from this was so halfhearted and awkward that it had no place even being attempted.

5. Despite the work McClain and Co. have been doing to make the Rock more fan friendly, fans haven't bought in. Yes, you can say we had 31k there tonight, but 7k of those, if not more, were Alcorn fans. There was a time hosting Alcorn provided our largest crowd at the Rock ever. If we're playing Texas State, it's a 22k crowd. That's not going to cut it. Something's gotta give and we gotta get fans back somehow.
