Piker posted a series of tweets on Tuesday mocking Crenshaw for discussing Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson's joking about the Republican’s injury, though Crenshaw swiftly accepted Davidson’s apology and appeared alongside the comedian on SNL.
"You may be surprised to hear that he's a congressional candidate from Texas and not a hitman in a porno movie," Davidson tastelessly joked in 2018. "I'm sorry. I know he lost his eye in war or whatever."
"Dan crenshaw is crying on a comedian's podcast about how not offended he was about a joke made against him almost an entire year ago. Right wing victimhood is a brain disease," Piker said, adding the following tweet: "crying from his remaining eye *."
"Joe rogan is comedy policing cus pete davidson didn't call him a hero LMAO this is brilliant," he added.
Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL, lost his eye in an IED explosion during his third deployment in Afghanistan. Crenshaw's campaign website describes the incident thusly:
On Dan's third deployment in 2012, his life changed forever. After six months of combat operations, Dan was hit by an IED blast during a mission in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was evacuated and awoke from his medically induced coma learning that his right eye had been destroyed in the blast and his left eye was still present, but badly damaged. Dan was completely blind and the doctors did not believe he would ever see again. Tara stood by him every day and night, keeping faith and praying he would see again. After several difficult surgeries, he eventually regained sight in his left eye, a miracle according to the head surgeon.
During the same stream, Piker said the United States "deserved" to have the Twin Towers targeted by suicide bombers on September 11, 2001, killing 3,000 innocents.
In tweets addressing the remark, Piker wrote: "Americas foreign policy decisions has lead to 911. this would've been a controversial thing to say in 2001. stop being a f***ing idiot."
"We supplied arms to and trained bin laden. we destabilized the region long before 911. and now we're stuck in perpetual war, which dan crenshaw was trying to justify in that clip. it's exactly this kind of attitude that has sent thousands of young men and women overseas to die," he said in a follow-up tweet.

True, though I would think what a TYT commentator says follows him across platforms.
If he just had a youtube or twitch channel, that would be one thing, but Google signed a contract with TYT. Based on the left’s own rules, Google should either come out and say they agree with Piker that America did in fact deserve 9/11, or they should drop their endorsement and sever ties with them.
