1. AAC - I expect some small drop offs and some teams to get somewhat better. ECU taking a big step forward will keep the AAC #1.

2. Mountain West - Hawaii and Air Force join Fresno, SDSU, and Boise as contenders for this year to put the MWC right behind the AAC.

3. Sun Belt - Per Phil Steele in terms of starters returning, 5 of 10 members are in the top 25 in the country, 7 of 10 in the top 40, 9 of 10 in the top half of FBS. All in all a league with high levels of experience returning. Unless the coaching changes do too much damage the Sun Belt will improve and be #3 again.

4. CUSA - UAB will drop off with massive losses, MTSU will probably drop off without Stockstill at QB, but I also think USM, La Tech, and WKU will keep CUSA from falling into last.

5. MAC - Only 4 of the 12 teams are in the top half of the country in starters returning, 5 are 100+ (including Buffalo). Just don't think this will be their year.

1 MWC-due for a good year, last year pretty mediocre
2 AAC-close 2nd
3 MAC-distant 3rd-several programs seem to be on the upswing
4 CUSA
5 Sun Belt-history of up and down. Last year was really good. Don't expect a repeat.
AAC will be #1. ECU & Navy should take big steps forward from 3-win seasons last year. Tulsa & UConn should be the only cellar dwellers. UCF will take a step down, while Cincy & Memphis will take a step up. AAC was #1 by a big margin last year, and they should be even better this year.
I think Cincinnati and USF will have big years, so probably AAC #1

MWC #2

This is spot on. Regarding the Sun Belt's coaching changes, as long as App and Troy's change prove to be quality hires, the Belt will finish third. If they all fail miserably, the Belt could fall behind CUSA, and on the otherhand, if the other new coaches do well and the second year coaches grow in their roles, there is an outside possibility the Belt passes the MWC (but I doubt it.)
MWC again, Boise, USU, SDSU, Fresno and Hawaii all strong
AAC

Flip CUSA and Sun Belt and you’ll be correct.
I see the G4 as:

1. MWC
2. Sun Belt
3. MAC
4. CUSA
How I think it goes:

1. MWC
2. AAC
3. Sunbelt
4. CUSA
5. MAC
1 AAC
2 MWC
3-5 Irrelevant - no one's ever cared about the order here. Ever.
1. AAC
.
.
.
2. MWC
3. Sun Belt
4. MAC
5. CUSA
I see it as
1 AAC
2 PAC
3 MWC
4 CUSA
5 SUN BELT
6 MAC

Guess 4 leagues are going for the Access Bowl as the AAC is much too good to take a bid like that.

This seems a very reasonable assessment. I might reverse No. 1 and No. 2, as I feel the MWC might be poised for a strong season and the AAC could take a slight step back compared to last season.

The Sun Belt continues to improve. I'm impressed. However, C-USA does have a number of programs that could be strong.

I never know anything about the MAC, yet the league always does a good job and impresses me.

I wasn't aware the PAC dropped to UH level of TV money??

1 thing is certain, the PAC can go undefeated and be mentioned in the race for the CFP.

That fact alone makes them better than the aac because we have evidence of how UCF has been treated. Undefeated PAC team or even 1 loss PAC team will kick your conference to the access bowl.

I wasn't aware the P5 gave the aac a P6 label

Stickers don't mean much when they get relegated to the access bowl.

The Sun Belt is improving. The difference between the Belt and CUSA is that the Sun Belt has much better depth. Whereas the MAC and CUSA have really strong teams at the top, they are putrid at the bottom.
