No disrespect to the law enforcement community, but maybe they should do a cavity search on the bird.

I'm sure all the honest, hard working cops out there love it when some dope pulls a genius move like this.

They could save a thousand people from burning buildings and the press wouldn't touch it.

Let one moron try to bust somebody for coke when it's bird crap... and the whole nation knows about it.

The moron cop deserves all the negative publicity he gets. This is just harassment, something that all too many cops are guilty of.

This is a cop doing anything he can to instigate with a young man.

If this cop truly believed there was cocaine on the hood of a car, after it was pulled over for speeding, then maybe he should be drug tested. Or have his mental competency checked. It's not hard to see he was just harassing a kid.

Acts like this give the cops a deserved black eye. If this guy wasn't a college qb, I bet the odds are pretty good the cops and prosecutors coerce him into pleading to a drug charge. Over bird crap. Hard to respect a system that does this.
The real problem is that the initial story of this young man being busted on a cocaine charge was all over the news, at least here in GA. So his name will forever be associated with the drug charge even though now the charges have been dropped. The media is never as quick & thorough to clarify or retract a story found false as reporting the initial charges.
when it was just the days of print newspaper and video was done with after the news broadcast unless someone recorded it, it wasn't so bad, but now this stuff lives on forever on the internet. his mugshot is forever.

This is the cops being heavy handed plain and simple. There is no mistake to be made between the two substances.

Last I have seen, cops don't save people from burning buildings but they all secretly want to be firefighters.
Dumb move by the cops, but this happens a lot. This woman spent over three months in jail:
Georgia woman sues over drug test that said cotton candy was meth

Quote:In 2015, the Innocence Project alleged that the NARK II was widely known to produce false positives. It said that the NARK II had sometimes mistaken the herb sage for marijuana, motor oil for heroin, Jolly Ranchers candy for meth and breath mints for crack
