Wondering because he transferred from UCF where he had a guaranteed starting spot, and supposedly none of the coaches saw this coming. Any Georgetown fans have thoughts on him?
My best guess would be... he has a snowballs chance in hell of starting over James Akinjo or Mac mcclung

He's a good PG, if you don't believe me watch the Duke or VCU games last year. Now I'm not that familiar with Georgetown's roster, but I don't think he would've transferred if he had no chance at starting.
Allen can start or come off the bench depending on the matchup. If Ewing goes with a 3-guard lineup, he can use Akinjo, McClung and Allen, as well as LeBlanc/Pickett with Yurtseven; however, he can also go big, and have Allen (or McClung) come off bench and add both LeBlanc and Pickett to the starting lineup with a more traditional 2-guard, 2-forward and a center rotation. Ewing will have options for sure.

Allen will provide experience and leadership, which the young group desperately needs IMO.

Thanks for the breakdown. Losing him was a big blow to our team, but thankfully we replaced him with a grad transfer PG from Bama that started all 4 years.
