Guys, i just wanted to urge each and everyone of you to appreciate life. I am 48 and had been experiencing chest pain when i would go through heavy exertion but no other symptoms. As a precaution, the doctors did a heart cath yesterday and they found that the Widow Maker artery was 99% blocked...i could have had a heart attack at any minute. It was God's plan for me to be there. They put in a stint and i am resting comfortably. Please guys , take care of yourself for you and your family's sake!
Glad to hear you’re good. Glad they caught it.
Glad they caught this in time. Blessed
Good for you and great advice.

Prayers for a quick recovery.
That is terrific that they caught it. God definitely was there with you. Get well soon!
God Bless you Rufus ...... I'm so glad you caught it in time.

I'm going through some serious health problems currently.

Life sneaks up on us some times.

Amen brother!! Glad you are ok!
Glad they found it, you are fortunate. Take care of yourself. I'm a little older than you, no a lot older - 69. Several wks ago I was having rather severe chest pain but it didn't seem to increase or decrease with exercise. Nonetheless, wife insisted I go to the emergency room, 9pm. Immediate EKG, negative, then nuclear meds stress test, no issues, then echo cardiagram, clear. So cardiologist turns me over go gastro doc. Had endoscopy, hiatal hernia found. Just bad gas, lol. So my heart's ok but I'm supposed to eat healthy & less. Life........

One thing for sure, you go to the emergency room, you get tested asap.
Good deal. I am glad you did not ignore this. I had the same experience in 2004, same artery, 95% blocked, stented. I was 54 at the time. Now, change your diet a bit, and you should do well.

Glad they caught it and you’ll be okay.
Damn! Glad you are ok!
I'm glad that you found this in time. The older I get, the more people I know with serious health issues. I pray daily for those friends and family who have problems, and my list is very long now.

As a friend told me "Getting old is not for sissies". Thanks for sharing.
DO NOT MESS AROUND, TAKE CARE OF THE TICKER!

Scary but wonderful news compared to what happened to some friends and relatives around your age. Take care.
Great news, Rufus!

Cut down on red meat (NOT CUT OUT), lost a few pounds, worked out a little more, those types of things. Basically follow the AHA diet, but not strictly. I still enjoy a good steak!! 04-cheers
