They are auditioning for new ones. Not sure which sports/stadia. Hopeful for someone with some energy.
National Anthem auditions as well, but thats secondary.
My wife wants to audition. Who is the POC?

Ha! For my audition, back in '84, we just walked over to the Stadium, they cranked up the PA system, handed me a sheet and said read this. After a couple reads, they said "You're hired."
Apparently, they have raised the bar..a bit...since then.
The guy we have now has a great voice. Is he leaving?
Edit: Based on the script it looks like it might be a second announcer for other events (not football/basketball).
Yeah, I don't think Chuck is leaving. I believe it is to add to the announcing staff.

Silky smooth, yes...but prefer a bit more grit and spunk. This isnt NPR.

Having grown up back in the day, I can't stand the announcers who think they're doing a Monster Truck Rally commercial. Just give me (deadpan) "Basket by John Lowenhaupt" and that's all I need. I generate my own excitement.
Well, I've reached that age where I need help to generate any excitement. Quick bragging BGR!
Middle ground, folks. Its not hard to do...
