If anyone has any updates on basketball opponents, Id love to know! Normally we hear leaks occasionally but I have not heard much. I hope that is not a bad sign for the ultimate creampuff schedule this year.
NIU is one of four MAC teams not yet listed in participating in a MTE (multi team event) which means holiday tournaments, conference vs conference showdowns, etc. Few schedules have been posted. Butler's is posted but we are not on it. I would imagine we will start getting info in the next six to eight weeks.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did find that we will play @ Iowa St on 11/12. They probably want to scout our underclassmen.

I have no idea why Wisconsin and NIU do not hook up more often, such an easy trip up to Madison from Dekalb. I know UW has some spots filled annually with UWGB and Marquette, but I think that would be a good series to hold semi-regularly.
I would like to see an annual tournament between Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois. Directional bragging rights would be at stake.
Someone needs to check out the basketball websites for Lincoln, Aurora, Rockford, Judson, Quincy, St. Norbert, Elmhurst, Eureka, Lake Forest, Wheaton, North Park and Lewis. I am sure we have one or more of these teams scheduled.

Makes me want to whip out my checkbook and renew my season tickets now!
Nov 12 @ Iowa State

Dec 21 vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay
Thanks MAX. How about we keep this thread to info and not to comments and opinions. I know that is hard for most of you, but keep it on point.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a home tourney but unknown opponents. Also some return away games from last year. I think UC Davis was one of them.

Only in the State of Illinois with so many upper level basketball schools avoid playing each other.
What a no brainer.
No wonder this State is screwed up.

Yeah it’s a mess. Illinois won’t play DePaul, DePaul and Northwestern won’t play a Final 4 program down the road, ISU won’t play NIU, etc. So many egos.

The only way they play is if Gavitt Games or an MTE schedules it for them.

Meanwhile in Philadelphia, Villanova plays Temple, St Joseph’s, Penn, & LaSalle.

That’s why Philadelphia is a college hoops mecca.
Oakland (from Michigan) will play at NIU but I don't know the date.

Thanks sportsfan. Green Bay and Oakland will give us an idea how we will compete in the MAC.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oakland and UWGB at home is not too shabby
NIU is slated to be in a tournament with Pacific, UC-Riverside and Longwood. It's probably going to be round-robin with the teams playing each other.

Decent teams but sure seems geographically odd!

Other than ISU all the opponents so far have NET lower than the Huskies. Actually I mean all but ISU have a higher NET which means they are ranked lower than NIU.
