Reflecting on the big three RBs from last year I think Taylor can really bust out some more impressive numbers this year. I don't think any other RB will approach the carries to split like Taylor did with Henderson.
Taylor had 208 carries for 1122 yards and 16 TDs. This year Taylor will be a work horse, get more carries and while he may not hit 1909 yards like Henderson he can certainly split the difference.
I heard Taylor has had an excellent off-season, is stronger and may have trimmed his 40.

He will probably average around 5-6ypc and 1500 yard for the season. I don't expect any running back to duplicate DH's numbers for along time.

He will be the second leading rusher in Tiger history at the end of the season and is easily in the mix for top 5 backs in Tiger history as well.
Last year was a monster year for DH, but his career stats of 431 rushes 3545 yards 36 TDs, will be surpassed likely with Patrick Taylor Jr with only 1012 yards and 6 TDs. PT6 had 1122 yards and 16 TDs last season, so that shouldn't be too high of a bar at all, especially as he moves into the primary RB slot.
So stats for a career, easily so. Stats for a season, not likely, but not impossible either. I think he gets far more carries than DH did last year, with a much reduced YPC. He will likely still have a top 5 season in Tiger history as well.

Agree, hoping for some help to emerge to share the load. Another part would be a more effective passing game that should really help the running game & those carrying the load.

1012 is still a lot of yards
But absent injury, and absent another back elevating, would agree with the above that Taylor will get the carries to approach the 1400-1500 range
Of course, however we get yards and scores is fine

That’s what I think also. He came in with the frame to carry more weight and has turned into a bruiser that has the ability to get separation when he gets past the first wave of D.
We will get reps from a couple of others but nothing like the split he and Henderson shared.

Can’t remember the source but when Taylor was sniffing around the draft a comment was made that he had an NFL ready body.
Actually look for Tim Taylor to be the change of pace RB! But comes down to the OL!! OL is the question mark having to replace 3 guys from a year ago.

CMN is really high on Kylan Watkins. I’ve read Kenny G is predicted to take over the TP slot/rb role. One of the 247 guys thinks TT is behind these players on the depth chart.
On Sports56, Brady White mentioned Obinna, Scotty and Manny repping with 1s during spring and summer. He seems confident in them and the fact that they saw playing time last year on the line. With the consistency/longevity of R Silverfield and the way he’s developed players, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this group keep on truckin’.

Yeah, you are right. I forgot about Watkins. They seemed really impressed with this kid. He was red shirted in 2018, played on the scout team.
Timothy Taylor is not talked about much, I thought he might show up this year.

If we are trying to wear down defenses running Taylor most of the time, I think our offense is in trouble. Last year was unique with the the RBs who were very talented and complimented each other so well.
Then you don't understand what our offensive system is all about. It is getting the ball to playmakers in space. It's produced a top 15 offense (Top 10 last two season) since Coach Norvell has been here and will be no different this season.
We take advantage of the opposing team's weakness. I think this year's offense will be even better at doing that than last year. Both because of the changes by our new OC, but a healthy QB will make a big difference.
