Well if NMSU and Liberty are playing each other twice that year, they can have UConn instead so that will be 2 less games needed.
They should just be honest and go ahead and kill their football program. No sense dragging it out.

I think Liberty would be willing to give them a 2-1 deal for them the Huskies to come to Lynchburgh 2020 @UCONN 2021 @Liberty future date.

They are playing each other twice this year, not next.
The NCAA will help them out. Certain schools will postpone FCS games to help UConn fill in their schedule.

Believe the UCONN AD "sold" the UCONN BOT's and incoming President that the AAC (and if not them, then CUSA/Sunbelt) would have UCONN Football only in their conferences.
Reality is setting in...no one wants a lame duck UCONN Football team that will be moving down soon to I-AA or disbanded all together.
Remember, UCONN didn't "leak" this info about their move on Friday...this was leaked by a Big East source at a time UCONN (Football) didn't have all of their ducks in a row just yet.
NOTE: Look for UCONN to now "offer" the AAC approx $4 Million to KEEP UCONN Football in their conf thru the 2020 seasons...but I think the AAC will easily say no to that offer.
