Conservatives, on the other hand, can acknowledge America’s flaws and still celebrate its greatness. That’s one reason why President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan triggered so many, and why the “ACKSHUALLY” crowd claimed he stole the slogan from the Nazis, of course.
As Twitchy reported, Pete Buttigieg is on the “America was never great” train, telling crowd after crowd that America’s past was never “as great as advertised.” And now Kamala Harris is either ripping him off or echoing Hillary Clinton.

The problem for them here is Trump picked the perfect slogan that resonates with a lot of Americans in wanting to restore America to not getting bent economically, politically and socially by foreigners and globalist. So much so, that they MUST combat his slogan with the exact opposite that boxes them into a corner of “our country always sucked” with automatically offends our core pride in our country.
That and, like already stated, they don’t have the ability to separate successes and flaws and learning from mistakes. That’s the problem with liberals and why it’s going to be difficult for any of them to beat Trump in 2020. They better hope the economy tanks.

They do every day.
Back in 2008 and 2012, their hope turned into changing the economy into tanking for 8 years. They want to convince their pals they can tank it again and make things even worse in 2020. One heck of a slogan for the left, but they do believe they can make it happen if people would only give them another chance to do worse again.
