The answer to our problem of systemic racism is not simply anti-discrimination laws. Those do not establish equality. Racist policies have segregated and damaged these communities, and they need help to recover. Reparations is not going to be a check mailed to every African American. It needs to be funding, allocated to the communities most hurt by racist policies. Funding for schools, infrastructure, health care, social programs, justice reform, housing, etc.

These conversations absolutely need to be had, because Mitch McConnell's position is exactly what is wrong with the GOP. They still believe slavery is the only thing bad America has done to the African American community. None of the slaves are alive anymore, so what are they complaining about? Meanwhile the GOP is CURRENTLY still working at federal and state levels to disenfranchise African Americans. The more Democrats talk about issues, the more folks in the middle who are indifferent will choose a side. The reason there was such a quick and drastic swing on marriage equality is because the debate was had, and those in opposition were exposed. People had to sit back and say, "you know I'm not really in support of gay marriage, but I know I don't agree with that guy". Force Mitch McConnell to keep saying racist things, like "we elected Barack Obama". Expose them.

Yep. Funds being wasted on bloated school administrations, outright fraud, while not going to the actual schools is definitely a problem.

All of these "communities" you refer to have been run by Democrats for generations. It is not a Republican problem. Look in the mirror. You will find the problem.

Careful.. Mach has stated that while it's Dem ran, it's Rep policies that have ruined these places, no matter the fact a Republican has never held office there.
Learn from Trump. Identify a problem. Kick all the democrats out of the way and fix it.

Those same issues impact other non inner city schools as well. Luckily, parents help pick up the slack more out in the burbs.
Root causes of the inner city plight in the poor neighborhoods are Democratic policies that have created modern day reservations that keep these residents highly dependent on gov't handouts and acts as an anchor for those trying to break out of the inner city dependency life. Keep em poor, keep em dependent, keep em Democrat.

Take a long look at who is running these inner city schools and the cities that they exist. See if you can catch the pattern and then you might start to see the cause.

Hint: Look at Miko's post immediately above this one.

So, let me get this right. The clown members of the democratic sh!t-show start talking reparations yesterday, and Mach comes on here to regurgitate their nonsense.

You can time Mach's posts to when a talking point comes out. It's almost like clockwork.

Pavlov's Theory?
I did read that VA. That’s why we need to reframe the debate. I do think McConnel stepped in it. It’s not about sending a check to everybAfrican American. It’s about investing in the communities.
