I thought I heard that we can not play in an early season tournament this year due to the August Bahamas trip. If so, then don't we lose a regular season game? That would put the max wins at 39 if we win out.

Only 26 wins in basketball would be a MASSIVE failing of a team that will likely be pre-season top 10 and should stay Top 20 all season. Also only 4 more wins than last season.
9 wins in football would be quite a bit of a failure since we are predicted by almost every pre-season magazine to win the West and AAC. Also only 1 more win than last season.
So, yeah, both seasons would be "decent' but no where close to good or living up to expectations of most every prognostication so far.
Which would be the exact definition of not expecting much of either team.
Anything less than 40 combined would be a disappointment this year by both teams.

again the phrasing "at least" comes into play here....as in worst case scenario.
I do expect more...if the basketball team has 26 wins at the end of the regular season...its going to the NCAA tourney and win a few more.

I liked the old PS2 and Xbox versions of the game as opposed to the XBoxOne and PS3 versions.
I loved the versatility on offense and defense.

It isn't "going to happen". It MIGHT happen. Then again they might storm through the regular season like multiple FR heavy ky teams have done, including cal's first team (which was basically ours), but "underperformed" by not winning it all.
But, even if they take a couple of losses, they will win more than last year's team. In football, they will win as many as last year's team. That alone would qualify this team in the upper 30's if not 40... and that is on the low end of the scale.
