A thread in the lounge got me thinking ... which ACC school do you HATE (I know -- strong word, but you know what I mean) the most, and why?

I'll post a LIKE the most poll too ...
I voted NC State ... Hate is a strong word here of course ... but it feels like we (Louisville) have the most in common with NC State ... especially with regard to "little brother in the state syndrome" ...

And maybe this is wrong, but it has also felt to me like NC State fans aren't happy we're "encroaching" on their place in the ACC.
Miami. What is there to like about them?
Why no "none of the above" option? Why would I "hate" any school?
I don't hate any ACC school but I picked Clemson by default.
I don't truly 'hate' UVa, and I actually hope they go 4-0 OOC, but if there's one school I simply can't get excited about most of their victories, it's the Wahoos.
I "hate" my favorite team Louisville for letting both Pitino and Petrino severely damage our two most important sports.

I didn’t want to vote for Clemson but didn’t even see them on the list.
Wow. Where do I start?

Let's see, there's...

Dook - They just ask for it.

ND - Do I even have to explain?

Pitt - The OJ Simpson of the Big East.

Syracuse - Pitt's toady.

UNC - Esayem.

VT - Maybe if we didn't have to play them in every bowl we go to...

Miami - Jimmy Johnson. Nothing more need be said.

Louisville - They're... Louisville.

… you asked.

I agree with wanting them to go 4-0 OOC and not getting excited about their victories. Also, the class with which my UVA friends handled the Men's Basketball National Championship has blunted any hatred I had toward their success and they were all sympathetic to VT losing our coach. Either one of those would have been worth hating if handled differently. But I don't hate them any more since we have 14 straight football victories over them.

I used to hate Miami but they haven't been good enough with equitable swagger trash talking in 15 years. So despite the cheating and terrible fans I don't hate them any more.

You'd think I could hate Louisville with the various scandals and such but I'm just happy there was a program as good as Louisville to replace Maryland. Hopefully their football program will rebound right away.

UNC is pretty easy to hate with their above the law treatment from the NCAA but they haven't been good enough in football to hate.

So, I went with ND, they still have everyone bending over backwards for everything from getting them in their conference, special treatment from the CFP just like the BCS, teams wanting to schedule ND and them having their own personal network TV deal. I don't hate them either but between them and UNC, ND is better at football.

If you wanted none of the above, just don't vote. Simple enough.

Lol, it seems like ND is doing something right.

Your list looks like a lot of power and a lot of good things for ND.

Why do people bend over backwards, want to play them, give them their own network, and want them in their conference?

Whose "fault" is that?

It seems like its the networks, the NBC contract, other schools, certain conferences and the playoff committee to me...........
I dislike Notre Dame.....RUDY was OFFSIDES!!!!!! I hate Ugag....'To Hell With Georgia'...

Back to Notre Dame: Georgia Tech and ND have had a Significant series in the past (until 1981) and rekindled it back in 2015... Notre Dame and Georgia Tech will meet in two future football games at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta — one in 2020 and the other in 2024...The series began in 1922. The Yellow Jackets were a longtime rival of the Fighting Irish and the two teams met periodically on an annual basis over the years, particularly from 1963 to 1981 when both schools were independents following Tech's departure from the Southeastern Conference. The 1975 Georgia Tech-Notre Dame game marked the sole appearance in an Irish uniform of Rudy Ruettiger, the subject of the film Rudy. When Georgia Tech joined the Atlantic Coast Conference beginning in 1982, they were forced to end the series after 1981 because of scheduling difficulties. Consequently, the two teams have met very infrequently since then. Georgia Tech was the opponent in the inaugural game in the newly expanded Notre Dame Stadium in 1997, then a year later they met again in the Gator Bowl. The Fighting Irish and Yellow Jackets met in the 2006 and 2007 season openers and split both games. Notre Dame leads the series 29–6–1.[3] The rivalry resumed in 2015 with a 30–22 Irish win in South Bend.

Ranked ACC Rivalry/significant series:
1. ND
2. Clemson (Looking for a rivalry that's been one the South's most competitive and exciting, but doesn't get the notoriety it deserves?).
3. FSU (Only have met 25 times...wish we played more often might turn this from a series to a rivalry)
4. Miami (12-12... Not a bad series at all)
5. VT (Battle of the Techs)

Georgia Tech only has one hated rival.... COFH...To Hell With Georgia!!!!!!!!
UNC. The ultimate in hypocrisy: Great academics unless you play sports, then no such thing as academics. They love to control everything but manage to screw up everything. Overrated, should have much more to show for their rankings, especially when you cheat for so long.

Lol, Rudy Ruettiger is pretty much universally hated by ND alumni and fans.

He is basically a jerk off.

So "Rudy was offsides" is no anti-ND taunt at all.
I nominated UNC. They are cheater getting caught. But did not receive any punishment because they are too big too blue blood for NCAA.
I voted Duke. They killed ACC football in 1962 and have participated in UNC's machinations for years without getting their fair share of the blowback. Duke athletes are taken care of after they graduate which is Duke's business, but the fake aura of holiness belies some very common **** that goes on in Durham.
It looks like we have a runaway winner with over 42% of the vote (1/15th = 6.7%).

Yeah ... I feel dumb for being surprised by this. When I posted this poll, I had no idea how this would shake out. But in retrospect, it should've been obvious that UNC would be looked at as the Texas of the conference.

I truly like all the schools in the conference, but maybe that's because we're the last ones in. And are just happy as hell to be in the club at all. Even so ... as a youngster growing up. ACC schools were always ones I liked.
I don't hate ANY ACC team..............yet.04-cheers

I have a fondness for every ACC team at the current moment. That may change after a decade or two more together....03-shhhh
