"At least six Division I men's basketball programs will receive Notices of Allegations for Level I violations from the NCAA by the summer, stemming from the federal government's recently completed investigation of the sport, a top NCAA official told CBS Sports."

Stan Wilcox, NCAA vice president for regulatory affairs, said two high-profile programs would receive notices of allegations by early July.

The remaining four would be rolled out later in the summer in what was described as a wave of NCAA investigations meant to clean up major-college basketball.

"There's even another group of cases that we're still working on," Wilcox said. "The main thing is that we're up and ready. We're moving forward and you'll see consequences."

Level I violations are considered the most serious by the NCAA. They carry the strongest punishments that can include scholarship reductions, postseason bans and show-cause orders against coaches. According to the NCAA, a Notice of Allegations is sent after an investigation has closed.

Good point.
A few interesting things in there.

Quote:Wilcox said only those schools involved in eligibility issues would be impacted....

Up to five of the most serious cases annually now will be decided by an infractions committee that will now include persons outside of the NCAA. That policy goes into effect Aug. 1.

"They could be more restrictive or less restrictive," Wilcox said. "I wouldn't want to be the first institution to go through that process."

Gotta be. Either that, or Arizona & Louisville.

Maybe, but Louisville has already canned everyone for their infractions, and Sean Miller basically alluded to not returning in the spring.

Out of all 4 of those particular schools, I feel like the NCAA is more likely to go after the "less powerful" options than to nail LSU & Kansas. Maybe they'll surprise me, but I'm not holding my breath.
Two words:Cleveland State.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it’s Kentucky/Kansas/UNC, et al.
Jet Beauty School and one of those directional schools most likely will be made examples of.
I'm going for the grand slam plus one...
Arizona
LSU
Kansas
Auburn
North Carolina
Didn't Kentucky have a player named in some of this?
I'll go:

Auburn
USC
Arizona
Kansas
Louisville
Oklahoma State

which probably means.....

Auburn - UAB will serve the penalty
USC - Cal St LB
Kansas - KU-Kansas city
Louisville - Louisville
OK St - OK City Univ

UNC will again go un-penalized due to the fact that all university students had equal opportunity to benefit....according to the NCAA.
Yep, you have to wonder how many recruits will be shaken loose by all of this:-)
“Arizona's Emanuel "Book" Richardson, University of Southern California's Tony Bland and Oklahoma State's Lamont Evans. All three have agreed to plead guilty to one felony count of bribery...”

I would think the first two would be from the group where assistants plead guilty.
I strongly suspect Will Wade will not Coach LSU very long this season if at all. NCAA knows he has admin over the barrel legally so they will get him first. AZs Miller will be next; just a guess but 70% chance he is gone. A lot of scrutiny on NCAA to do this right. Long shots are one of Self, Roy Williams and OK St coach. Louisville 50/50 sanctions. Just can’t fire everyone and say we’re good.
just let me know when one of these schools get anything.

Yeah, I am with you on that.

The investigation will take a year if better. So no punishment anytime soon.
